TRAINEESHIP DESCRIPTION
Trainee Position Operations Assistant
Main Tasks / Responsibilities This is a very fast-paced, dynamic and fun environment! We need those who are energetic, articulate, bright, hard working and motivated to get the job done!
You will be a key person in our operations department. You will initially be responsible for:
Opening new brokerage accounts on 3 clearing systems
Making changes to accounts
Processing and sorting incoming mail
Answering phone calls, e-mail and faxes from our brokers
You will have the opportunity (and should have the desire) to learn many different facets of the industry - check deposits and withdrawals, stock certificate deposits, legal transfers, margin rules and requirements, purchase and sales corrections and cancellations, corporate actions/reorganizations, tax implications, compliance/regulatory implications, and more.
We encourage you to take the Series 7 exam (and any other exam you may want to take) and will sponsor and pay for it.
This is an opportunity to break into the industry and get experience in every aspect of the back office. You will work with a group of fun people in a professional (yet somewhat informal) environment. No experience in the industry is needed - our history suggests a desire to learn from the ground up is all that is needed. We are a small firm and will want and need you to take on additional responsibilities.

HOST COMPANY PREFERENCE AND REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINEE CANDIDATE
Academic Background/ Professional / Practical Experience We are looking for a candidate with no less than a 2.1 degree, an extremely strong work ethic, very strong customer service and phone skills, ability to communicate professionally in writing, and in general a hard worker with a great attitude. We are a fun, but hard working company and we are looking for superstars.
