The ‘Queen of Hard House’ and undoubtedly the World’s number one female dj, is proud to launch her latest venture: Lashed Digital – an offshoot label to the Lashed Music empire. As the name would suggest, by sticking solely to the digital medium for all these releases the label aims to introduce new and fresh producers, whilst also enabling Lisa to showcase her diverse and experimental style.

For the debut release Lisa digs deep into her record box to cover an early nineties house classic, Little Loui’s ‘French Kiss’ with Lisa herself on vocals. The original mix is a fusion of harder trance sounds with a great use of pitch change during the breakdown and a big room tech-trance style drop!

On the remix Lisa has drafted in Vancouver based producers The Shy Brothers, responsible for the biggest shows in North America, as well as they productions topping the download charts worldwide with their latest smash ‘Shake Em’ picking up plays right across the board, having been given the prestigious award of Judge Jules ‘Tried & Tested’ track. The boys really go to work on this remix which will cross over for plays between the trance and harddance scenes.

For the final mix, Lisa goes all oldskool and back to the millennium with a hard house remix featuring a cheeky vocal sample, ass shaking groove and acid stabs taking you back to the good old days of raving it up in furry skirts and cyber on a Sunday afternoon at Sundissential! A great trip back in time keeping modern day production vibes running through this mix!

Arguably the biggest and most widely known female name in the global dance, Lisa Lashes has achieved more within the scene than most could only ever dream of.

With her first appearence on the Kiddstock stage less than a week away, we get a few minutes with Lashes herself to discuss fantasy, fairytale and Kiddstock!!

1. The Magic Kingdom will be your Kiddstock debut! What tales have you heard about Kiddstock’s gone by and what are you expecting from May 24th?

I hope to be like the kid on the Disneyland Paris advert. Jaw dropped, eyes misty, strange smile on my face and that’s from just walking through the entrance. Look forward to having a great day and evening, especially with all the fab DJs playing.

2. You’re headlining the Hard Dance Warehouse, hosted by Frantic. What can we expect from your set?

I’ve got some great new tunes to play as I’ve been a busy bee in the studio with lots of great people including, Alex and Kidd Kaos, Dark by Design and Phil York.

3. Which one track can we be expecting you to devastate the dancefloor of the Frantic Hard Dance Warehouse with?

The track recently that people have loved on the dancefloor is my new track with Alex and Kidd Kaos called ‘New Religion’. It’s very shortly being released on Kiddfectious and we’ve had thousands of hits on youtube which is great news for all of us.

4. From your point of view, which artist on the Kiddstock Wales line up is the set not to be missed?

I’m really looking forward to catching Glazby and Farley but also a guy called Neal Thomas as he has just sent me through my favourite tune at the moment. Will be keeping an eye on his tunes and maybe his CD wallet so he better be careful.

5. You’ve produced some huge tracks over the years and have collaborated with everyone who is anyone within hard dance! If you were to join forces with another artist from the Kiddstock Wales line up, who would it be and why?

I would like to work with Scot Project as I really enjoy his sets and one of his tunes is the first track on my new album. Maybe I will get him really drunk and fix a date with him in the studio whilst he’s unaware.

6. You’re a total festival favourite both in the UK and abroad! What other festivals are you gracing the decks of this summer and which are you most looking forward to?

I will be playing at Global Gathering, Escape in the Park, Planet Love, Norway festival and Defcon 1 in Amsterdam, which is a great summer of festivals for me. I love playing all the festivals, as they’re very different in there own way so I don’t have a favourite.

7. The Magic Kingdom see’s Kiddstock move to the magical Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. Will you be taking some time out to build some sandcastles or what is your favourite thing about the seaside?

The seaside brings back so many memories for me as I spent my younger years at Blackpool pleasure beach where the Tower Ballroom is as I was in a formation dance team. Wont be riding on any donkeys though, I remember being frightened to death when a donkey round down the beach with me clutching onto him as the owner tried to catch us.

8. Kiddstock has taken on a new mysterious theme for 2009 – ‘The Enchanted Realms’. If you were one fantasy character or creature, who would you be and why?

It would have to be the Pixie ‘Liv Tyler’ in Lord of the Rings as we have very similar Pixie ears and I can ride a great sidesaddle, not on donkeys though…
