Absolute is Edinburgh’s most exciting underground Trance and Hard Dance night. Promoted by Gareth Binks, Paul Nisbet, Shaun Hope and Callum M.

The emphasis on the night is to stay fresh. We believe we offer the most upfront and fresh dance of its type in Edinburgh. We do our best to stay cheap and give everyone value for money and the opportunity to see forward thinking artists!

Absolute has been steadily growing thanks to the great people who come to support the night! Its massively appreciated.

We have had the likes of Mark Eg, Bart Claessen, Mac Zimms, Scott Mac, Paul Webster, Alex Kidd, Kuffdam, Simon Patterson, Jon Obir, Cosmic Gate, Sean Tyas & First State on alongside the cream of new talent Scotland has to offer.

Already in 2008 we have given Edinburgh debuts to Paul Webster, JOOP, Bryan Kearney & Stoneface & Terminal.

  • Absolute says farewell to the Studios, FREE entry for all on the 19th! Absolute anthems ahoyyy.

    Before you read on, this is not the end of the night. We are simply having a little break and will be unleashing the beast again soon, so keep your ears down to the ground. ;o )

    Absolute are sad to say this will be the last party thrown by ourselves in Studio 24. We have come to the hard decision that we are in need of a change. All four residents will be bringing you all the tracks that have made Absolute rumble over the past three and a bit years. All the big trance, tech-trance and hard dance anthems to see out our time on Calton Road.

    After many awesome parties @ Studio 24, we are sad to be parting company but would like to take this chance to say thanks to everyone who has come down and supported us through the last three years and hope you will keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground for some news early next year.

    We hope you can make it down to the Studios and help us shake it up one last time in a way only you all can.

  • Nitrous Oxide makes his Scottish Debut

    Absolute return for another month of uplifting and tough trance, hard dance and all in between. Nitrous Oxide is our guest this month, with releases on Anjunabeats, Armada and a ton of of other labels he is at the top of his game. Arguably one of the finest producers in the trance scene at the moment.

    After an 'eventful' outing to Bathgate's Room at the Top, Absolute are back at Studio 24 this month with a residents party. £6 entry all night so no excuses. Joining the team of residents this month is Ross Carnie from Independance!

    Absolute welcome Matt Hardwick into Edinburgh with open arms! Long regarded as one of the countries/worlds best trance djs, we cant wait until Matt stamps his signature trance sound all over Studio 24! Joining Matt Hardwick is dutch dj/producer JOOP. JOOP is making his scottish debut with Absolute and we are delighted he has agreed to do so with us. JOOP has released on some of the strongest labels in the world and the now gone but never forgotten ID&T. Tracks such as "The Future" (Trance Energy theme tune 2007, "Act of God" & "Prominent" have seen JOOP take his place amongst the Dutch Elite.
