Eliot Bates and the Kaliforniya Saz Arkadaslari are a power trio that has taken Istanbul by storm, performing rocking new versions of traditional Turkish folk and ethnic music. Each one of their performances features a special set of music (recent concerts have featured Anadolu rock covers, Arab pop music, Rebetika, and Hasret Gultekin deyis music), and they often bring surprise special guests such as world-renowned VJs Artificial Eyes.
