|  | The Rise are an original 4 piece indie dance band, been together the best part of 4 yrs. Hailing from Dundee they have earned a reputation of one of the best unsigned live bands in the area. Highlights of the bands career to date include winning the Scottish global battle of the bands @ the Glasgow soundhaus in 2005, then to go on to take 3rd place in the world final @ the London Astoria later that year. From there they've headlined the famous cavern club in Liverpool, been guests of Alan McGee’s rehab night in London, Headlined Radio 1 big day out fringe festival, picked as one of the best unsigned bands in Scotland by Radio 1, supported the likes of, The Sunshine Underground, The Feeling, Forward Russia, Proud Mary, Rick Witter, regular guests of The Complete Stone Roses, and old label friends of The View. We’re contacting you today to let you know about our up and coming magazine ‘Glasgo Bands’! Our current magazines: Glasgo Nitelife and Edinbra Nitelife are published and distributed throughout Glasgow and Edinburgh advertising the best nightlife spots in each city. Due to high demand we’ve decided it’s time to provide an advertising form for some of the best up and coming artists in the country. This way they can gain the recognition and exposure they deserve. With no signed performers and no professional input, this magazine is designed to promote those select few artists who have the ability and confidence to make it in a very difficult industry.
