  • !Procrastination leads inactivity!

    Hey, Well I never did get around to writing anything about my stay in Kas. I can say this though, it was quite the experience. Different way of life there and I can't wait to go back. Some damn nice people live there and I miss them all. Some of the people I never had the chance to even say bye to...Oh well, that just means I gotta head that way again and say hey. If anyone out there is in College or University living either in Ontario or near the Manitoba-Ontario Border and would like to give the LG Aboriginal Literacy Camp a try. Just send me a message or something and I'll hook you up with the right people and you should be on your way. This is not a race or gender specific job and its an experience of a life time. You meet people from all walks of life, ethnicity, yadda yadda and you have a great time. Trust me on that. Well, let me know peoples.

  • Kasabonika Lake....

    For all of you that don't know, I've recently been hired by Frontier College to travel to a remote reservation in Northern Ontario to promote literacy to the aboriginal children. What none of you know is this. The reservation I have been sent to is called Kasabonika Lake. Kasabonika Lake, or Kas as known by the locals, is a very very remote reservation. So remote that you have fly in. I was told the food was going to be extremely expensive but so far its not that bad. I think our bosses just wanted us to be prepared for the worst but be delightfully surprized when we noticed that it wasn't as bad. But then again, there are 36 reservations in total locked into this program. Maybe it's worse in other places. Anyway, I'm looking at creating on online diary so people can see what kind of things are going on up here. I'll post the information on this Blog ASAP. Later for now people.

  • Game review...

    Hey,
    I was in future Shop this week and I seen a demo for Need for Speed Most Wanted. So naturally I gave whirl thinking it would be the best game ever made in the Need for Speed franchise. Now I know it was only a demo game but I must say, It wasn't that geart at all...The controls were pretty good despite the handling being kinda awkward. Because it was a demo only I understand that not all the features were unlocked and were limited but it kinda sucked...It reminded me of Need for speed Hot pursuit. The one thing I can say about the game is the graphics were pretty good and imagine you can trick out your cars which was something you couldn't do in Hot Pursuit which is cool...

    In the same trip to Future Shop I also triedthe new Project Gotham game. In short, it sucked ass. The controls were annoying and the handling sucked. It was kind of confusing just getting a race started. The graphics however were sick ass hell. It makes want to buy an X-Box 360 even more. Too bad i was 15 minutes late on the release date. Funny story, I had planned to go to Future shop just before it opened so I could buy it. Long story short I slept in and arrived at the store a half hour late and it was freaking sold out. I couldn't beleive it, I was fifteen minutes late. Ok, it wasn't such a funny story. As a matter of fact it sucked. I was so pissed. I had planned to buy in celebration of getting an 83% in one of my classes...Heh...

    Ok now I'm just rambling, so I'll stop right there...
    Actually I'll end by saying I bought Battle Front 2 and plan on playing it right now...Ummm, it seems pretty cool so far. It's not as cool as Star Wars Republic Commando though. That game kicks...

    I read on your blog that you visited Davis Inlet (and their new village)

    Katie Rich was Chief there for almost 20 years. I went to school with hers and we were friends until I left Labrador in the late 80's.

    What is the new village like? Is there internet there yet, and do you know if any of the are connected here on Bebo.
