Arkham <arkhamband>

Keith (vocals), Greg (guitar/vocals), Gary (guitar/bass) and Rob (drums) form Limerick city band Arkham. Tracks and more info added soon.

Following the split of his band Coldheat in 2003, drummer Rob Kelly searched the underground Limerick city rock and metal scenes in search of members for a new band. In 2004, Kelly met Keith Kiely and Gary Lysaght, vocalist and bassist for Luminol. Although it would be another two years before any idea of a band would arise, the three hit it off as friends. In late 2006, the band started to come together. Lysaght took the role of playing guitar, while Kiely remained on vocals and Kelly on drums. The three searched for another guitarist to compliment Lysaght's guitar style and eventually Kiely found Greg Doyle, a friend from college and former guitarist for Roulette. The now four-member band took the name of "Arkham," a name proposed by Kelly after a fictional asylum for criminally insane in a comic book.

In early 2007 Arkham will go on hiatus as some members will be unavailable, but not before the band records demo tracks. The band will resume in 12 months so stay with us...

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad, you're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

  • New Songs

Sot of free time in this foreign cult ridden asylum today, Few new songs in the works, desperately in need of creative drums and bass from our compatriots, things looking good right now,

  • Hello

While traversing the wilds of Eastern Europe, me and my fellow traveller through the foggy mists of musical limbo, Greg, have come across what can be best described as a bad acid trip that was all too real, decending the mountain like two heroic prophets with ascended consciousness we came across the population of a lord of the flies pre-school who chased us with stones and gibberish. Thus in our enlightened state we proceeded undeterred until we came across a goat and a Romanian pirate queen who treated us well. They bathed and fed us with mental nourishment. after gathering up our clothes and relighting the flames that showed the was home they were frequently blown out by the random weather and occaisional abuse of alcohol. We see our two brethern waiting at the end of all this with drums alight and guitar illuminated to once again enter the Asylum together, the goatboy and i agree we miss the steely cold dreary comforting walls. The inmates of our current prison show signs of a cult,
    wake up,
    Lazarus.

  • The Future of the Asylum

With Arkham still on Hiatus i thought i might write something for the page and inform our beloved fans about what is going on , so im typing this while sitting beside a mirror so that i know our fan will read it. The plan is to still reform and arse about when everone gets back to town, and discussing it with the other members they all seem well up for it, hopefull this will lead to the writing and recording of some great tracks, here in The Balkan penninsula, in the shadow of many a lonely hill Greg has written so new and interesting stuff and he cant wait to unlesh it from here unto the populus of Limerick city, so with the best intentions for the future of the asylum i leave you for now, Please support the awesome Last days of death county, They are in respect to commitment and musical acumen exactly what i see Arkham seeking to achieve,
Peace out and as JC said, "wake up lazarus",
    Keithatron
