Dance 4 Life <Dance4lifeIreland>


Dance4Life is an innovative, interactive, positive and energetic international project. Every two years the Schools Project has its climax in a worldwide Dance Event on the Saturday before World AIDS Day.


Dance4Life is a growing, worldwide project to fight back HIV and AIDS by dancing. You too can become actively involved in Dance4Life. This year we will be rolling out the "Life Skills" element of the project, in the schools we have already visited and 8 new schools too! We're looking forward to it and hope you'll enjoy it! If you have any suggestions on what you'd like covered let me know, leave a comment or drop me a mail and we'll really try and involve it in the project. It's yours, tell us what you need!

  • Dance4Life Ireland is back!

    Hi Everyone!

    As Aoife said she has moved on, and that is why there has been no activity on this page for a while! It took me ages to find out what the pass word was!
    My name is Rebeca and I have taken over running Dance4Life in Dublin along with Bridget in Cork!!
    So you are probably wondering what is happening! Well, we are hoping to go back to your schools in the new year to do the new LifeSkills programme that we have.
    Also, we are hoping to launch the new Dance4Life Ireland website next Friday, so please check it out when it goes live... but I will keep you posted about that!

  • Aoife de-camps!

    Hey all,

    Just to let you know I will no longer be doing the updates for Dance4Life, from here on out my replacement will. I have left the office here for pastures new, tho probably less fun!

    I really have had a fab time working with D4L and hope all of you have had a fantastic time and I will get to see you at future events and fundraisers!

  • Dublin Workshops

    Hey All,

    This is an advance notice for all of you about a 2 day workshop that’s going to be held in Dublin on the 2nd & 3rd of July in Croke Park. It's going to be from 10-5 every day and we will feed you while you're there!

    It's as part of the Summit work which has been going on for the past few months and which has allowed other students who took part in D4L to come to workshops in Brussels and Germany, and with some luck some participants in these workshops will be ready and able to attend more upcoming international meetings! Also anyone who comes will receive a certificate of attendance, always good for a CV! The workshops are limited to those between 15 - 19, and are a lot of fun as well as being informative!

    If you're interested, or know someone who would be, mail me at aoife@ifpa.ie and I'll send out an agenda. The spaces are limited so get back to me soon!!!

    Dance classes in Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Singing. At the end of each week there will be a studio performance for friends and family. This will be a great summer school for those who want to improve their dance skills or those who may wish to audition for the college of dance, and to make new friends, guaranteed fo be funfilled, all in a safe and friendly environment . We have the best teachers from Ireland and the UK, with vast professional expierence.
