- Ana Mae releases new single “Hanging Around”. The brand new track will be available as a free download from 18th May 2009 from www.anamae.net.
Hanging Around is another up beat pop tune telling the tale of an unhappy girl, sick of hanging about the same old miserable town and finally deciding to do something about it!
Ana Mae and her band the 4.4.2s have gigged throughout the country, released a couple of low key EP’s at gigs and have been receiving great reviews wherever they play. Ana’s last single “I Can’t Tolerate You” was played by BBC Radio 1 NI, BBC Across The Line and BBC Electric Mainline. BBC ATL were so impressed they recorded and broadcast a live session with Ana and her band in March.
Brought up listening to her Dad’s Pretenders and Blondie albums Ana Mae is also often compared to Nina Persson from The Cardigans. She also names Annie Lennox, Kim Wilde and Sheryl Crow as major influences.

It will be backed with b-side, Marry Me (unplugged), an acoustic version of one of our first tunes.

Free Single Download
Here it is, finally! We are releasing I Can't Tolerate You on Valentine's day (14th Feb 2009) as a free download single via our website (www.anamae.net). It's definitely not a love song and I know the title is very anti valentines but I'm sure there will be plenty of people out there who aren't having a good time on 14th Feb!
Those of you who have seen us live recently will have have heard the song before, it's an up beat, driving pop tune with plenty of energy and we're all really happy with it
We've also recorded an acoustic unplugged version of This Is The Right Place To Stand as the B-side. A preview of these tracks will be on myspace soon but the official release of both tracks and artwork can be downloaded from 14th February for FREE!

ok this is random but about a year ago (probably less) u played in a bar called the common room in dungannon and u started singing black velvet and me and my boyfriend had r first dance to it and i always remember u just for that- so if ur not too big and famous by then i'll prob try book u for r wedding to sing dat song- and some of ur brilliant orginals of course lol- come back to the common room pleeease and sing black velvet for me lol- if u do come back il come up and ask anyways
