My Debut single Talking Dead is being released worldwide by own D.I.Y label Surreal Records on 17th August. Mixed in NYC by Grammy nominated producer Alex Newport (Death Cab For Cutie, Peggy Sue). (The demo of this is currently stream-able from myspace)

I’m set to hit the road for a heavy touring schedule. Confirmed for summer festivals such as Beachdown Festival appearing alongside The Zutons & The Super Fury Animals & special equinox sunrise performance at The Out Of The Ordinary Festival.

A full UK tour is planned for September taking myself and my folk band of violins, drums, pianos and bass to Scotland and back again before heading off to tour Germany, Luxembourg and France.

    Hi guys,

Just a quick one to let you know that the 'Talking Dead' video and single are now on myspace!

    www.myspace.com/oceanreid

Many many thanks to all the crazy people that helped, starred, danced, crewed and carried the wounded. Enjoy!!!

Hang on, nobody carried any wounded, I limped all the way home via a birthday bash wearing a Rabbit mask, who the hell carried me???!!!

Let's have some realism and just say thanks to all that Danced, Injured people and pushed the shiny buttons!!

    Ocean ;-)

We got more live dates to add later today, should appear on myspace in a few hours!!

  • Chaos Theory, LDN, Beach Party???

Hah, and out of the the mist stumbles Mr Reid, Chaos, I love it!!! Well, frick me, it's been a full and random week. I'm mash up from running around all over the place like a fool! I had a good old show at the BBC, highlights 'n' stuff coming soon to myspace. Got read the Jonathan Ross Riot Act pre interview, easy tiger, but was a good laugh! City Showcase was great piece of chaos and organisation all mashed into one, played 2 shows and went to see some great stuff 2, so much goin on there stumbling around the streets of London; ended with a few drinkies @ The Borderline. Nicely done!!

The new single 'Talking Dead' is back from N.Y and is now live on www.myspace.com/oceanreid and will be closely followed by the video in a couple of days. So that bad boy will be posted on You-Tube very soon!!!! Crackin, it's all goin off!! Will be trading in the streets of LDN for the streets of Brighton for a few days and mixin it up at the Great Escape for a few days now, so I may be very quiet for a few days. I may just be gone, who knows. Did somebody mention an after party beach party, or did I hear that wrong???

    Somebody save me, FROM ME!!!!

    Ocean ;-)

  • Multi Blog, UK Tour, Art Stuff, Burning Eyes, WEB-F**KOLOGY!!!

OK, it's been a busy weekend of top socials and I'm about to crack on with recording more material for my debut album. Well let me say that was the case........... Then about almost 4 hours ago I sat down to zap a blog out to anyone who is interested in what I'm getting up 2 behind these closed little doors. Bloggin, I just don't do as often as I should, the main reason is that there are so many social networking sites on the go now and I want to speak to everyone on every network!! I'm sat here with my eyes burning in front of this computer and I've lost all of tonights recording time. So to try get around the fact that I'm sick of transferring my comments around different sites, because I'm well F**KED OFF with it!!! I've just joined iLike to see if I can communicate with you guys easier. I have a myspace page I hope this will appear on plus face book and a dead bebo page that I just haven't been near for ages.

So now I've spent most of the night setting things up, I hope I haven't wasted my time. If anyone knows any better, please tell me, cause I'm apparently a musician not content manager or whatever you call this type of crazy WEB-FU*KOLOGY????????????

So anyhow, eyes cracking and hangover throbbing in a hideous way I can now tell you that I am very happy to be on the books now with Funky Jam who are to represent me as my UK agent. So watch this tiny self replicating space (so iLike promise me!!) as it should be filling up with lots of 'Talking Dead' tour dates. Oh yeah, I'm gonna upload the now official 'Talking Dead' cover with this blog, as that came in on Friday and I'm chuft with it.

So guys, I will be disappearing into my little secret rehearsal cellar to rehearse up for live over the next couple of days, but I will be surfacing from underneath that certain Brighton pub to check in soon.

If I don't, I've probably got home and found out this iLike Blog thing hasn't worked and legged my computer out of the window!!!!

    Soon, Ocean ;-)
