my "TESTIMONY" is called CLUBBER TURNED CHRISTIAN!!!! Before I start typing away I want to take this time to express just how AWESOME my heavenly Father is. He is my Provider' my Lover' my Protector' I Praise him for saving me!....well here we go.....
HIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiii my name is Reeyaa' I officially gave my life on march 7th at VCM (a Christian club at Auckland university) WOOOW... well before I gave my life I was a Girl who was heavily involved with MYSELF! I absolutely loved to Drink!!! I’m talking a FULLTIME alcoholic. I ended up with liver tone (liver problems) because of my excessive drinking' I could drink for days straight. I drank most of the time to get on a buzz which would keep me on a high for bundles of hours straight' or just to escape the pressures of life'(yes INDENIAL some would call it) well most of the time'.... I wasn’t happy with that person I was heading towards' the path I was experiencing wasn’t a good one' it was the PITTS!! absolute CRAP' I did & got up to a lot of things I’m not PROUD of'...I lost respect for myself' for my Parents' my Siblings and my Friends' I’m telling you I was a STR8 up MONSTER! I was constantly looking for ways to get a box/bottle for the weekend or to drink in my room' yup how sad! I loved to drink & smoke cause its what I knew BEST. To think abt it I did a lot of WORLDLY/FOOLISH things for the sake of doing something COOL.. the way I spoke was disgusting' you could say I had a PH.D in vulgar behavior' speech' greed' anger' confusion' being LOST –unpeacfulness was my BESTfriend!.. All this was stirring up in my heart creating a war between me and the world'... it was always about MEEEEE'...NO1 COULD tell me what to do' I made all the decisions' and IT GOT ME NO WHERE' same old cycle every week' same old same old' there’s more to life i tell you' ....well ONE day i just woke up and cried for hours str8' and seriously im not the type to cry so for me to cry' it was like WOZIZ since when'...i had too much pride to show any form of weakness'...Well i started reading the bible alone in the mornings' then i read it before I went to bed' but at the same time i was still drinking'partying'clubbing being the old RIABIA'(this is all before i got saved) and by coincidence I watched "PASSION of the CHRIST" for the very first time and cried like a BABY' serious!!....Like OMGOSH "what’s happening to me"!!! im all reading the bible, I’m crying, I’m getting sick of drinking' *Arghhhhhhhh*....i guess GOD was opening my heart' AND it was up to me to allow him to do his work'...so yeah I meet up with a friend at the start of uni and she told me about VCM(the Christian club) and it was like God reached down and Grabbed my heart!! so SURREAL!!!...So I went to that group & it was in a discussion, i just broke down into TEARS(im talking tears and snot doin a re-remix lol) laid it all down for the lord and made a promise to never hurt GOD with abusing my life the way I did' ....I tell you ive been sober&smoke-free since march 7th 2006 **WAT CHU NO ABOUT DAT hehe** and hard-out its haaaaaaard uno' I come from a background where we enjoy EVERYTHING and ANYTHING n that scene' so yeah doing what JESUS wants is hard-out hard but at the same time' MAAAAAAAAAAAAAN its beyond worth it' the blessings are endless with me and da LORD' and when you come to your senses and realize just how CRAP your life is' before you ACCEPT the lord'..All that stuff just isn’t attractive' its useless and a waste of time....I stand tall today and confess that my confidence is in GODS power' there is NOTHING in my past that i would compromise being in gods presence' drinking was everything to me'...BUT...now it doesn’t even cut it' cause now i see a bigger BRIGHTER promising picture of how GOD wants to fulfill my Life' HE IS THE MAN!!!!' if i can do it' i tell you ANYONE can do it'...many of my close FRIENDS+FAMILY are STILL IN SHOCK mode that i have come to be a "Christian" because i must admit' I WAS33 Comments 1072 days
