KATEMODERN GOES LIVE

November 15, 2007

LEADING ONLINE DRAMA TO SHOOT A WEEK OF LIVE EPISODES IN LONDON
London, UK - Bebo's leading online drama KateModern will be filming a series of live shows in locations across London, encouraging participation from its 1.5 million weekly viewers.

Beginning on Monday, November 19th viewers will be able to participate directly in the KateModern story. They will be given a daily video clue as part of the show on Bebo, and using Microsoft's Windows Live mapping technology, it will lead them to a real world location. Each day, viewers will join the characters at the location to uncover another piece of the plot.

Launched in July and produced by the creators of LonelyGirl15, KateModern (katemodern.bebo.com) is the forerunner of Snack TV, a new form of online TV entertainment that combines bite-size 1-4 minute show episodes with live interaction. The show, which lives as a video blog on Bebo, has received over 25 million views since its launch. Using Bebo's social networking tools, fans can catch up on KateModern as well as talk to the characters, cast and producers, solve plot puzzles and suggest future ideas for the show.

On Monday, November 19th, the first video clue will stress that characters and viewers should arrive at the location at 6pm. Fans will be able to come down and be part of the show with the characters while they film as a piece of live street theatre. One of the stars of the show Ralf Little (The Royle Family, '24 Party People') says, "KateModern is constantly breaking new ground. I'm really looking forward to the live shows and I'm delighted to be a part of such an exciting project that is transforming the way that people are entertained."
Bebo recently became the world's only global Social Media Network. This radical new vision for online media combines community, self-expression and entertainment to enable its users to consume, create, discover and share content through the Bebo website.

Unlike its competitors, Bebo offers access to a line-up of high quality programmes and entertainment from professional broadcasters, independent producers and other rights owners and gives users a simple set of tools to create their online media collection and communicate their tastes to everyone in their network. Founded in 2005 as an online community, Bebo has a membership of more than 40 million individuals worldwide and is geared towards an audience aged under 30, with the core of 16-24 year olds spending 2.14 billion minutes on the site per month.
