JAMIE BELL IN KATEMODERN MARKS THE FIRST SPONSORED PROMOTION BETWEEN BEBO.COM AND BUENA VISTA (UK)

London, 17 August, 2007 - Bebo, the UK's leading social networking site announced today the beginning of a sponsorship deal with Buena Vista International (UK) that will commence this week with the promotion of David MacKenzie's new hip comic romance 'Hallam Foe' in the burgeoning internet drama series KateModern.

In the first promotion its kind, 'Hallam Foe' star and BAFTA award winner, Jamie Bell ('Billy Elliott', 'King Kong', 'Flags of our Fathers') will make a cameo appearance in KateModern, alongside Ralf Little ('The Royle Family', 'Two Pints of Larger and a Packet of Crisps') and newcomers Alex Weaver, Tara Rushton and Jai Rajani in a handful of video blog instalments set to go live on Bebo.com next week to coincide with the release of 'Hallam Foe', by Buena Vista International, in UK cinemas on 31 August.

Hallam Foe, "the most talked about British film for years" (Evening Standard), recently opened the Edinburgh International Film Festival to great acclaim, building on the huge buzz already surrounding the film.

As an alternative to traditional TV, KateModern's unique platform allows fans to interact directly with its characters. With this new partnership, Beboers will now have the opportunity to interact directly with some of their favourite film stars. Bebo users, on average, spend upwards of 40 minutes a day on the site and are increasingly looking to social networking platforms for cutting-edge entertainment as well as a place to share and discuss their favourite films, music and books with friends.
