London, UK, 29th June 2007: Game Domain International Ltd (GDI), a company specialising in a new high speed digital delivery service for games, and the UK's leading social networking site Bebo today announced an ongoing partnership to bring its new games on demand service, AWOMO ("A World Of My Own") to Bebo users.
Bebo members who participate in the Beta Test, expected to begin in July, will be eligible to win the ultimate Golden Ticket - free gaming within AWOMO for life.
"We're delighted to bring the AWOMO experience to Bebo users and afford them the opportunity to participate in the Beta test," said Chris Gorman OBE, Director of GDI Ltd. "As well as having the chance to play from a selection of over 50 PC games for free for the duration of the Beta test, Beboers who join will be forever identified as an 'Island Elder' within the virtual 3D world with their own virtual item unique to the Bebo community."
"Our users have grown up accustomed to living their lives online and many are adept at playing computer games of extraordinary complexity," added Joanna Shields, President, International at Bebo. Bebo users like to be ahead of the curve and our partnership with GDI allows them to be involved at the very beginning of what is an extremely exciting advancement in the gaming industry.
GDI Ltd recently announced that it has opened the registration for the free Beta test of AWOMO ("A World Of My Own"), a revolutionary game digital delivery service embedded within a 3D 'virtual world' island paradise for gamers, in which launching a game is as simple as walking into a building.
Unlike other online delivery services, which require the entire game to be downloaded before the gamer starts playing, AWOMO delivers the sOme game playable in a matter of minutes on a standard broadband connection using GDI's new proprietary technology.
Over 50 PC games will be in the trial, with no charge to gamers who sign up. The first gamers to set foot within AWOMO will also have access to a number of custom virtual items that will forever identify them as founder members of the community.
There will also be AWOMO subscriptions to be won, and introductory offers for the final service when it goes live. And for those who take their gaming super-seriously, there is the chance to become a member of the elite tester unit - a group of Beta testers chosen as permanent members of the GDI test team.
