| Ducklings that seem to have been born and raised within the grounds of Dublin Castle park and it's two paddling ponds, along side the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin 2. "Quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack" said the six little ducklings to mummy duck, all at once, just as soon as they realised they were true inner-city ducks, hatched and breaded... there was nothing they could ever do to shake the stigmata involved with being a Duckling-Skanger-Duck-from-the-flats... Until one day... when, as if by magic, they sprouted their own flappable mc flappy feathers! ...then tossing aside the prepubescent fluff they had in their youth, they embrace the new... and in that instant they become a step closer to being real live wild mallards, able to flap to new horizons with nothing more than the single flick of a feather. | I visited London for a week in July to do a foundation course in Art Therapy, which went very well. While I was there I visited the Anthony Gormley ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony... ) exhibition in the Hayward gallery ( http://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/gormley ) and the Dali & Film exhibition in the Tate Modern ( http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibi... ). Both were superb installations. I also went to a talk by the esteemed Wole Soyinka (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wole_So... ), a Nigerian poet, philosopher and author. The talk was on the subject of civilization and was really fascinating. | ||
