Dundrum House Outing (14 Fotos)
The 2nd Outing of 2008 for Bertie's was in the Magnificent Dundrum House and Golf Resort. A fantastic, but extremely tough course which every member enjoyed. Included on this trip was a fantastic meal and a great round of golf. The welcome at Dundrum House was second to none and everyone at Bertie's Golf Society appreciated the great welcome and want to thank the staff of this great course. Bertie's Golf rates the course very highly indeed and it is sure to be on the calendar again soon.

Bertie's travelled to Portugal in May 2008 Donnie Mc Carthy was the overall winner after three rounds of Golf at Pinhall, Quinta Da Lago and La Guna.

John Malone's Captains Prize (3 Fotos)
Saturday August the 2nd is our Captain John Malone's Prize. I would ask as many people as possible come along to support Guy, who has been a great Captain for the Society this year. John has played many roles within the Society over the years and his trojan work in Portugal, ensured that we had a very well organised Golf Itinery and a great time in Praia Da Rocha. The Bust Leaves Bertie's on Saturday the 2nd of August at 7.30pm. Please be on time and support your Captain at Ballykisteen.

Michael O'Sullivan's Presidents Prize (1 Foto )
Cahir Park was the venue for Micky Trix's Presidents Prize. The Day was brilliant, the Prize table was incredible and the Craic was 90 as at last we got a bus controller with a sense of humour and a great sense of direction in Ken Hogan. Special thanks goes out everyone involved in the great day. Thanks to Albert Ruxton for the great hampers. Thanks to Paddy Heaphy for his sponsorshipof a prize, to Liam Sloane and John Malone. In particular Thanks to Micky Trix for presenting a first prize that was second to none. Congratulations to Brian ' Snowy' Coakley who won on the day and I hope you're checking this out in OZ.

Outing 23rd Feb 2008 (22 Fotos)
Saturday the 23rd of Feb saw the 2nd playing of the Bertie Dempsey Memorial Trophy at Youghal Golf Club, when a huge amount of members and guests alike turned up to honour the memory of a great man, and a fantastic character. The Competition was won by Tommy (Dog) Bulman with a great score of 42pts. Tommy was presented with the trophy at Bertie Dempsey's Bar on the same night by Paul Dempsey representing the 'Dempsey Family'. The day itself was a blustery one, but thankfully a dry one and Bertie's Golf Society would like to thank Youghal Golf Club for the use of their magnificent facilities, congratulate Patsy O'Regan the Youghal Captain on his appointment and thank him for his participation on the day. Derek Kiely Secretary BGS Berties would also like to thank, the Bar Staff, Catering, Liam Burns and the Course Staff for their help on the day.
