| This is paintings of Alamein Companytroops of 7th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland which i am proud to say I was the CQMS (Company Quartermaster Sgt) from Aug 06 to Jun 07. The company served in Basrah area of Iraq (and other areas) as a force protection company as Light roleInfantry support for the RAF. The paintings will serve to help keep "Auld Alamein" alive to public and Regt ... The company was named after the Great Desert battle of 1942 which was the turning point of the war in the Western Desert in the Second World War. All of the Companys of "7 Scots" were affiliated to Regular Battalions ie this battle is where all of the cap badges of pre March 2006 ie Black Watch, Highlanders & Argylls all took part.....Thus is was a good name for this Operations Company. Hope you agree they are very good..and catch the spirit of the "Jocks" i served with | ||
