On Friday afternoon we got our new ambulance-vehicle for the station where I still volunteer from time to time: A specially adapted MERCEDES BENZ SPRINTER van, 3,5 tons, 3l diesel-engine, 184 HP, max. speed 174 km/h, delivery price € 120.000 includ. equippment - cannot afford that every year, so it was like christmas and easter in one day for the boys !

Holiday Pics: Ireland August / September 2006 (45 foto's)
This trip brought us (my friends Martin and Thomas, Thomas sister Barabara and myself) to the wonderfull lakes of the Lough Erne area, and then through the Shannon-Erne Waterway down south to the republic, where we visited Carrick-on-Shannon and the Lough Ree with its castles. On the way back, we visited Chrom castle, Enniskillen and Bellek, from where we took a trip to some of the nices beaches of southern Donegal ! To finish up, we stayed in Dublin for two days !

In August / September 2004, my friends Paul & Angelika, Pauls brother Georg and I took a cruiser from Glassan near Athlone (Co. Westmeath) through the Shannon-Erne-Waterway to The Erne-Lakesystem in Northern Ireland up to Bellek in County Fermanagh and also took a (very wet) trip to Bundorran / Co. Donegal. After the trip, I had a job-interview with "Waveline Cruisers" ( www.waveline.ie ) in Glassan, but (un)furtunatly things didn´t work out there, otherwise I would have most likely moved over there !

After a successfull start in Vienna in Spring 2004, the "Vienna Gaels" travelled to Budapest to take revenge against our favorite opponents "Budapest Rangers", in my files the date says 23.10.2004 !

At the end of August / beginning of September myself and a real courageous Nissan Micra spent two weeks going around Ireland. Overnight stops included Drogheda, Meeting of the waters, Midleton, Cork, Killarney, Cliffden, Donegal Town, Ballycastle, Enniskillen, Slane and Dublin !
