| Mental stuff really! Lordy! We played with a host of local area bands, and for that matter, rocked! If you weren't there, hang your heads in shame, then after five to ten minutes, check 'em out! Photos taken by John Cackett, clearly a very wobbly man. But we love him. | ||

| Icarus' first 'real' gig.......the big one. Playing alongside Matt Bishop and The Dinettes, Museli and Sexy Action News at the Tunbridge Wells Forum AND headlining the show, this gig was HUGE. To add to the pressure, Icarus bassist Olly was pre-occupied on the night, and so band friend James FitzGerald was approached and happily filled in for him to Icarus' delight. The reshaped band just went for it and chucked themselves into every song, the crowd matching the energy and doubling it with their moshing, dancing, singing and chanting. Fitz stunned band and audience alike with his funktastic style and the ease with which he settled into the band in such a short space of time. All in all a very successful first public performance! | ||

| Our last band practice before the big "first gig" on new year's eve. We basically just knuckled down and played the hell out of our prepared set-list, as well as setting up EXACTLY as we planned to on the night. Will still found time to mess about with his sexy new camera tho! Oh yeh, TECHNICALLY we are actually "Mashed Potato" at this sesh... | ||

Oooh, an interesting Icarus gathering this one. With Emma joining the full-force band there were six people in the sesh house, and they were in for a long 4-hour writing slog.......well that was the plan. After a quick warm-up and orgasm over Greg's sexy new machine ( ) the band set to work developing 'Touch', specifically to come up with Ian's guitar part. Spending about an hour on that and getting nowhere got everyone a bit pissed off, but Corb took it the hardest [insert gay joke here] and promptly stormed outside cursing uncontrollably and throwing chairs. The rest of the band responded by first holding up the 'angry face' card >: ( and then creating new song 'Carpe Diem'. Its brilliance was enough for Corb to return to the sesh house, remove his mic from Milsh's mouth and plug it back in.........and so an epic tune was born. | ||

| The first ever Icarus band practice, and an extremely successful one despite the missing guitarist. Ian's unfortunate absence did not stop the band from making a solid start on writing their debut album as well as preparing for their upcoming performance as Bloc Party in "Stars In Their Eyes" at Judd this week. New song 'Touch', brought to the table by vocalist and lyricist Tom, was the main focus of the session. With an impressive mix of energetic drums, electronica/dance-inspired bass and guitar and catchy vocal lines, it looks to be a possible hit with the band's small fanbase. | ||
