| The Second Bank of the United States was privately owned and operated with total control secret from the public. It had complete control over money in America. President Andrew Jackson fought bitterly against the power of the national bank which he knew was controlled by foreign investors. He WON and was the only President to see America free of debt. Today, America has a new National bank called "The Federal Reserve Bank." It is not owned and operated by the government; it belongs to very powerful private investors. This makes it a government sponsored monopoly. It prints and controls the value of the dollar. So the money you work for is actually controlled by private investors. President Jackson was so passionate about this issue of American Sovereignty that he had it inscribed on his tombstone, that he, "killed the beast."
