Dan and I laid the pink shale rock in the Fall of 2005. He stirred the cement and I stomped. I had positioned the rocks previous to the installation so it was a matter of lifting, slopping the cement in and stomping the rock in place.
Since the pink pathway is beside the "L'Etudie en Rose" (the PINK garden with pink rocks) it went in beautiful ! There are shingles underneath to hold the cement by the way.
Well, we were so engrossed in getting the rocks laid, that we didn't notice Leenie had been doing some of her own "cement work" . When I finally did discover it ~~ I made certain to "guard" the paw prints until they could fully harden.
There is Leenie's 2 paw prints IMMORTALIZED in the PINK GARDEN PATH FOREVERMORE ~~ and she did it ALL BY HERSELF !!
