We are a nationwide non government Pacific organisation, we been going since 1970's and we have members both young and old. we are currently the pacific advisory group to government on breast and cervical screening, we provided submissions on the cigarette display banning campaign and quality flexible work arrangements and out of school care programmes. in our branches we run nationwide agms focusing from pacific women leadership to child abuse to self care. its great to be able to travel throughout new zealand and have a contact in each city. i love PACIFICA its where we sing, we dance, we network, we socialise, we strategise, we network but most of all we care, which is why we are all members of this group.

  • training last night

got to training half and hour late oops, went to wrong venue, anyways i felt like i need to have a run yesterday after eating lasagne topper, chips, chicken vogel sandwich and choc chip cookie for lunch. you can see i was trying to be good with the vogel sandwich and the rest was just bad habits, i wasnt even fufilled with the lunch. i was so glad i went to training, i honestly felt my arteries unclogging after jogging for five minutes because i was struggling to catch my breath. i followed trumaines advice, walk to one point, then jog, then walk then jog as a way of trying to get myself to a point where i can jog the whole block. in a way im glad its dark when we train because i felt myself jiggling all over the show while jogging. we did some circuit exercises at the back of annes place in fact its probably better because we have some lighting as its way to dark to use the park now. i had a good sleep last night, slept right through thanks to the training. my goal for today is to go for a one hour walk during lunch time so if you see me walking around manukau cbd dont stop and ask me for a ride :D last time i tried walking round here so many people thought i was walking because i had to, yes i know hard to believe i was actually walking voluntarily for some exercise. now i think sally is going to start emailing us about following the 15 point programme which will be great to get our food under control, just waiting for our secretary to buy some milk so i can have my cereal for brekky.

  • Weight loss - Auckland Central branch project "Who needs a gym anyway"

Yes well who needs a gym, when you have a wonderful trainer in Trumaine Brighouse and his beautiful co-trainer Chantal Choromanski. These two are professional trainers and are so committed to seeing us succeed in our personal goals, so much so that our goals have become their goals. Trumaine texts us a reminder before every training, so thats Monday and Friday every week never fail, a text to about twelve women twice a week, which shows 1. that he has a lot of credit on his phone and 2. he cares about us awwwww :D
So its Friday night but no text well actually there was one asking if training was still on given that the national executive are meeting today and tomorrow which means we wont be training. apparently the duathalon that im supposed to be crawling through is on this weekend...ooops not in my diary so ill have to reschedule for next year hahahaha. cheers, i mean im not being negative here just realistic, even though its a real womens duathalon i still think its not something you can just jump in and do without proper preparation and training and to be honest i havent put in the hard yards yet to be able to even think about any kind of duathalon even weetbix kiwi kids level and anyways the real womens duathalon shirts only go up to size 3xl, whats up with that, if it was truly real womens duathalon then they could at least go up to 6xl then i could wear one as proof to my mother that i didnt just spend my morning with a bacon and egg mcmuffin combo with hot choc and a hotcakes combo with oj.
back to the trainings, so yes its an awesome programme if done properly, the trainings are effective but the eating needs more attention. not sure how many of you watched tagata pasifika last night well they profiled the training programme, excellent coverage thank you Sandra Kailahi, so have a look at it on youtube or tvnzondemand, you will see us working out, already ive had a few "friends" tell me that they didnt see me running with group captured on the tv interview, now ill say it again that the group were the slow runners so i was leading the pack and really i didnt want to break my running well actually my sprinting so i broke away from the group, in fact i was just about the lap them. :O :P hmm nice interview alright now i really have to lose weight because its out there in the public view, one aunty asked me today, how long the programme has been running and whether i had lost any weight, i didnt have the heart or courage to say it had been running since end of december and not i hadnt lost any weight, so i just said its been going for a month :L :L
alright enough from me, i was just wanting to promote the programme and congratulate Auckland Central branch in particular Anne Fitisemanu their president for this awesome project. thank you, malo lava.
