The sound of footsteps echoed in her head, they sounded like horses slowly trotting on unstable terrain, the rocks that collided with their hooves would scratch against them and her ears twitched slightly to the sound, among the noise a voice made its way inside her head, her ears would twitch again to the sound as it got clearer, gently opening her eyes she noticed her body was laying upward towards the sky, the white clouds that blocked the suns heat were dropping flakes of snow upon her body, it took her a few moments to feel the temperature, she felt her skin tingle against the chill from the flakes of snow that touched her arms and chest, she didn’t mind at all, she was more concerned about other things. Slowly sitting up she looked upon the road that vanished beneath a thick fog, the terrain would slowly drift her body side to side, from her back the deep voice spoke again, this time it was much closer and she felt a warm embrace around her, redness began to fill her cheeks but also a sense of uncomftability ran through her mind, just as she reacted as if to reject the unknown figures embrace, she would notice what was wrapped around her was not his arms, but a warm blanket, and the voice would speak once again."Are you alright, Takara?" Turning slightly to view this figure, takara indicated the tone was a man, a man she had met alongside the coast of her hometown seven years ago, although she never saw his face, his generosity and kindness was unlike anyone she ever met, which is why she could tell if it was him or not. "...where have you taken me?" Her voice sounded worried, not many men in her world would treat a woman so kindly as if to give her a ride, yet alone not many women would get on a carriage with a complete stranger, but she trusted him, and although she didn’t know it yet, so did he. "The destination? we're going to see a few people, some local friends of mine if you don’t mind takara" Feeling uneasy from the words he spoke takara moved towards the back of the carriage with haste, the stranger was known to be somewhat mischievous but takara took what he said the wrong way and turned around to see his appearance but all she could view of him was the white jacket he wore, with the remains of a red cross ripped off on the back, his face barely seen by the blackness within his hood the stranger turned his head to see takara as she sat alert, with a slight chuckle coming from his hood the man then began to rub the back of his head in embarrassment. " Sorry if I made you jump there takara, don't worry, I won’t let them touch you they're allies" The moment he said allies her thoughts flowed through her once again, bringing her back then to that coast she watched as the stranger asked her the question that would change her life, to become his ally, it took her a few moments to accept because in a way she thought, if alliances are made, then a war must be going on but she has never heard of a war happening in her world, so what are they hiding from her? And why did he pick me? While in deep thought the carriage suddenly stopped and the stranger got off, he offered his hand for takara to hold on to while she got off as well but she could get off the carriage herself, she didn’t trust him enough for physical contact, even if it costs her abject humiliation, that which resulted in her tripping and landing face first onto the pavement, luckily he caught her in the nick of time so she pushed him away gently and turned away, although he touched her she decided to let that slide. Following the stranger through the thick fog the terrain slowly went upward, the carriage was no longer insight takara looked back at the man who was getting further and further away, the hill was pretty steep and she found it hard to keep up but every few meters the man would stop and chuckle, she felt annoyed by his taunting which led to anger takara hurried upwards in order to whack him in the head but then she was stopped by his
