congratulations Mission Heights School!
Having just been to a ceremony at Mission heights school where CCC team and Tane team from mission heights won the NZ national finals for Future and Community Problem Solving
Its especially amazing that the CCC team have focussed so strong on cyberbullying and trying to eliminate it. The school said they "did not want to be a school in the media with cyberbullying issudes" and want all there students to know what to do. Well done CCC team and good luck in America in June!!!!

did you see us on close up...
.....and did you see how many people gave us their passwords? We decided to do a copy of the 2003 survey (see previsous blog) here in NZ in Queen street Auckland. True the reward was a delicious moro gold- but they would get that even without giving us their passwords! Do you think it matters if other people know your password? Sound crazy? I mean who would just hand over their password to a stranger?
Turns out quite a few people when the reward is right. In 2003 a survey showed about 85% of people would give their password in exchange for a free pen.
In 2008, that number had dropped to 21% – but the prize was “a chance to win a trip to Paris” . In 2007 65% were prepared to exchange their password for a chocolate bar.
We know that a lot of people use the same password for pretty much anything they do online. Why dont people care about their passwords?
Do people hand over their password because they don’t understand the importance of a password protecting information – or because they don’t really value the information passwords protect?
We often assume people just don’t get how important passwords are – and that therefore we just need to educate them around that. Passwords are the keys etc etc. I’m not so sure.

Go to your freind profile- the one you want to change the story for
underneath their profile picture they will have "edit friends story" you can do it there.
