NO Need for New Moon.

I have no good news for you. Miss Hana Pestle posted a blog on her myspace saying she hasn´t got any contact of the summit team because of the song.
since there are already band confirmed who´ll be on the soundtrack she thinks that "need" won´t be on it.

Hey everyone!
First thing - I want to thank EVERY ONE of my friends, family, and fans for showing incredible support during my campaign to get the song "Need" on the New Moon soundtrack. "Need" is quickly approaching 2,000,000 plays on Myspace thanks to you - THANK YOU!!!
"Need” is most likely NOT going to be involved in "New Moon". That assumption is not based on any official word from Summit Entertainment, Chris Weitz, or anybody involved in the soundtrack. It is based on information about chosen songs, deadlines, and most likely scenarios. NOT FOR LACK OF EFFORT BY YOU! You guys have been amazing!

However, because of the positive response to this song and many of my other songs, other licensing opportunities have come up. So you can expect to hear “Need” in other projects. A perfect cinematic placement is out there, and we'll find it.
A few personal requests from me to you:
Soon, I will be converting my "Need for New Moon" (www.myspace.com/..needfornewmoon) site to a general "Hana Pestle Myspace Street Team" site. It will be linked to my Street Team website (www.hanastreetteam.com) and have posters, cards, and digital data to help spread the word about new music, touring dates, etc. Please join that site, or continue to visit it often.

i know the first question many of you have is "will NEED be in New Moon or on the soundtrack???"
answer: i don't know! but, i'm still trying & i haven't given up!
2 very positive signs have happened in the last few weeks.
- a rep from the soundtrack label is interested in "talking" to us (always a good sign)
- representatives from a label associated with the soundtrack are coming to my NYC show at the bowery ballroom next monday, JUNE 29!!! please tell any friend, family, or nyc resident you know to come out in support that night!!

but, here is one way to continue to support this song and get it noticed, heard, recommended, or even selected for the soundtrack!

Hana´s Bullitin about the music meeting
Hey,
First I want to thank everybody who joined yet
and 2. Hana´s manager had an meeting with the music supervisors about Need for New Moon.
Here is the bullitin of Hana about it:
hey everyone!
i want to take just a minute to update you on the meeting yesterday between my manager and one of the twilight movie series music supervisors.
the meeting took place in LA around the time i was doing sound check in nashville - 3pm pst.
- they listened to "need" as well as a few of my other songs
- talked about the process a song goes through when being considered for a film
- discussed the filming and music selection schedule for "new moon"
here is the outcome from that meeting.
- the music supervisor liked "need"... WOOT! =)
- they were also impressed with the amount of support "need" has within the "twilight" community
- it is too early in the process for sound track selections to be made, that's still possibly a few months away.
- the final selections for the music in the film and on the soundtrack are made by a team.
so, here's my attitude!
on THURSDAY, no "new moon" people had ever heard my name, or "need"
NOW THEY HAVE!
that is a good thing!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!!!
if we keep spreading the word and sharing the song with all our friends and families, "need" will hopefully be a contender in the final selections!!
