Berlin-based composer Rettward von Doernberg, whose credits include titles such as "Cosmos – a concerto for eight electric guitars and four electric basses," the ambient track "Night Drive" and the score to the award-winning animation film "Manic Moondays" has now released the EP "Be Water," which includes a new piece of new age/ambient music of the same name.
"Be Water" is von Doernberg’s second piece of new age/ambient music to be released. His first release "Night Drive," the second track on the EP, has been heard on more than 30 radio stations and podcasts, including such names as "Spacemusic," "HRB1," "Subsonic Temple Radio" and "Idyllic Music"
The nine minute-long piece "Be Water" makes skillful use of symphonic and electronic elements such as a throbbing beat and rich R&B brass ensemble. As the piece moves forward towards its second part, we are made aware of its pure essence, which can be traced back to Bruce Lee’s philosophy that we should strive to "be water."
