Bonnie Pointer left the group in 1977. Anita, Ruth and eventually June began working with Richard Perry on their Planet Records debut. The Sisters insatantly took to the soft-rock direction of the album which included a version of Bruce Springsteen's Fire that made #2 on the Hot 100 in early 1979.
