West Africa: The Greatest Songs Ever, released by Petrol Records in September 2007, features 12 of the best tracks performed by West African artists. Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars' "Living Like A Refugee" is featured in this compilation.
Petrol Records writes in the liner notes, "Many believe that man originated in West Africa and that's why we're so strongly moved by its music. They say we're hard-wired to feel the rhythm and release ourselves to the beat. Whether this is strictly true or not, we'll never know. Yet one thing is certain, West African music speaks a universal language and moves everybody.
