Cracker, 1992Play All
After the demise of Camper Van Beethoven in 1990. David Lowery began to work with his old friend and bandmate Johnny Hickman. The two moved from California to Richmond Virgina. There they wrote a batch of songs that would eventually become the first cracker record. Although fans of the band call this record "brand" it is actually self-titled. This record yielded one bona-fide modern rock/ alternative rock hit "Teen Angst". The Video shot in the fields behind Mark Linkous's house (Sparklehorse) also received heavy play on MTV.
