Muir of Ord, a village near Inbredness, {SEE ABOVE} in the Scottish Highlands, {some believe it be mythical}, is older than time itself, a great female entity [though I be Male] travelling through infinite time and space, creating 12 year old Glen Ord Malt Whisky, bonny wee bairns and havoc.

Muir of Ord is the cultural centre of the Scottish Highlands, here the finest bagpipe players, play, poems of Love are writ, Scotland's finest footballers are training, the scrumchiest Haggi are lovingly reared for export, fed on grain and heather grown on the north facing slopes of Ben Wyvis.

Dingwall is Muir's other half. {Though to be honest I rather fancy Culbokie}

    i used to live in the muir 2003-2006 but got fed up of it . its in a nice part of the world but is so run down the tarradale needs a good lick of paint and the choice of shops apart from forbes is very poor you only need look at the very tidy well kept beauly that has a bit of life in it and a few decent shops .i stay in aberdeen now but hope to move to nairn or inverness sometime next year. why hasnt the muir got a decent co-op or harry gows and why has it not got any decent clean pubs if the local people that run matters up there start using their heads and stop living in the 1950s then it might lose the tag of beaulys ugly sister . its vital they provide new housing to that in turn would get the town with the village mentality moving and get that ghostly looking high street buzzing again . i do miss some parts the golf course was great forbes bakery goods are brilliant to so keep it up.
