Me, Myself, and I
I used to play at being a hero and got beat up for it at school and by my sister Ellie. Then Ellie, Jamie and me were left home alone. We fought the BAILIFFS and COPS to keep our home. We lost and we ended up at dad’s house.

I found two old dinghies and we went on an adventure along the mill stream until the Swans attacked and we fell into the Underworld. That is where all the missing kids go. Jamie did not want to be eaten by the gnomes or the tyrant BALOR, so we escaped.

Saved by the ORACLE from death we were sent on a QUEST before we could return home. That is when I started kicking arse and I have not stopped outwitting tricksters, fighting giants, gnomes, great dogs, aliens, & the living dead. My horse is a truculent flying Houyhnhnms called Embarr and I train under Hadi my mentor. Now, I've powers you may only dream about.

It is all something about being a god or something. There is this girl who keeps saying I will marry her one day.

Jack says,
"I'm Jack, nearly 12 and have a twin sister called Ellie. My cool brother is Jamie aged 13. I hate being the youngest. Mum left us Home Alone to go on holiday with her boyfriend. She never told us about the sheriff’s men coming or about social workers. They wanted to separate us until dad came to help, so we went to live with him in the countryside. It was great!
:) ...... I thought my luck had changed when I found two old dinghies. I was great fun exploring the river. Then suddenly, disaster struck. We capsized and tumbled into the Underworld. With no escape, we ran from BALOR, but there was nowhere to go until HADI found us and took us to meet the wise ORACLE.
He told us the only way home was to complete a difficult and dangerous quest. It was an adventure against all odds with love, little people, big people and bloodcurdling monsters."
I had to stay behind to be trained as Mihte.
Jamie says,
"Jack thinks I'm cool because I look after him, Ellie and mum. He was so weak and needed protection until we entered the Underworld. People now owe their lives to him and his fantastic imagination."
Ellie says,
“Jack is such a wet sock and a dreamer, a good for nothing. He’s just a wining little kid. It’s always left to me to look out for him at school. I've to show the bullies that no one can muck about with my family. God had good sense making me five minutes older than him.”
Elphin, the guide says,
"After Hadi trained the seekers for the Quest, it was up to me to be their guide. I'm a Seelie Elf, not one of those rebellious Unseelie. I know I'm small and I like to think I'm very brave. We wouldn't have done so well without these great kids, especially Jack's good heart.

The evil Gnome King (or BALOR), Swan Princess of the Underworld, Tasker an overseer, Hadi the children's teacher in martial arts, the Oracle the wise writer of fates, Angus Caw the sad giant, Balderaide a hobgoblin, Fairy Mother (earth mother), Merlin the youngest druid, Idris the grand High Druid, Houyhnhym a single minded horse, and many others.
The greatest secret of all
Far beneath our feet lies a land deep in secrets, that has long been forgotten. A place that never grows dim from where sacred swords emerge from lakes, salmon skip full of wisdom, and magic still lives in immortal hearts. It can only be entered through wells, fairy hills and lakes, a place, which determines the fate of our world.
