Hello there,
As you may have sussed already, we are the Youth Team for the Volunteer Centre in Inverclyde.
The Team:
SarahJane McNeil ~ Youth Development Worker.
Erin Donnelly ~ Youth Volunteering Support Worker.
Millennium Volunteers is a National Government funded initiative for young people aged 16 to 25. Its aims are to encourage, support and recognise young people who give up some of their time for the benefit of others and their local communities. Through MV you can make a difference for both yourself and the community.
Millennium Volunteers (MV) offers tailor-made volunteering opportunities for anyone aged 16-25.It doesn't matter whether you are in or out of work, or a student or graduate - you can get involved.
The emphasis is on building your skills and experiences, whilst really making a difference.
So go on, give it a go!!!!

Erin has the Fantastic job of co-ordinating and supporting the Inverclyde branch. Our Peer Leaders were selected back in September, and have since been going through training to work with their own project groups in the area. Inverclyde Youth Peer Leaders are Scott, Gemma, Rachael and Jennifer. They are now looking for young people aged 16-25 to get involved in the participant groups. So, if you have an issue that you feel passionate about, want to see a change in Inverclyde, come and get involved in shaping that change and making it happen!!! | | | Films | | too many to list!! but probably nothing recent, we work too much to have time to watch films!!! lol. | | | Music | | Well, being a team you can guess we have quite a wide taste in music. You can guess who they belong to when you meet us!!! | | | YOUTH DROP-IN | | As from Tuesday 13th January 2009, we will be offering a Youth Drop-in service on Tuesdays and Fridays between 3.30 and 5.30/6pm.
This is to allow young volunteers some office space with us at a more accessible time. We are still available at other times through the week, but appointments should be made in advance, just to make sure you catch us in the office. (2009 shaping up to be busy!!hehe) | |
