- Me, Myself, and I
- Linlithgow Young Peoples Project (LYPP) is a charitable youth organisation founded by the churches of Linlithgow to address the social, recreational, emotional and spiritual needs of young people aged 12 to 18.
LYPP runs a number of youth friendly activities including: The Power Station Youth Club, Outdoor Activities Club, Streetwork, Schools Work, Music/Art workshops and special events.
All our activities are run by trained and friendly staff and every young person is given a warm welcome regardless of their background and circumstances. - Lounge
- Formally known as Power Station, the Lounge will re-launch of the 17th June 2009 at 7pm. Please come along to see everything that is new, improved and changed!! We will have lots on offer on Launch night, including Dance Mats, local bands playing, Wii and Xbox 360 Consoles projected onto the wall, food, drinks such as hot chocolcate and milk shakes from the bar....
- Events Nights
- From October 09 Lounge will be open on friday nights from 7pm - 10pm. On these nights we will have events such as Film Night, Open Mic Night and Games Night. Look out for the dates of each nights in the Lounge window.
- Homework Club and Group Work
- From the first week of the new school year (sorry to mention it now!!) August 2009, we will be having the 4-2-6 Homework Club (which will be on tuesdays and wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm) for those who want to do their home work, revise for exams, need tutored or who need a good old rant about school and all it's pressures. Schools Worker Elaine will head this up.
We will also be launching Theme of the Month group work sessions, stay tuned for topics, nights and times!! - Music Studio
- The Lounge also has its own fully equipped rehearsal room and recording facilities. To use the room you need to become a member of the Music Studio. Membership is open to all those interested in playing and making music. You can get a form from the LYPP office or Lounge. Membership costs £5 per year and this is to replace broken or lost pieces of equipment.
- Schools Work
- The lovely Elaine heads up the schools work and the 4-2-6 Club. You'll quite often see her and other LYPP staff in and around the school taking social education classes and Princes Trust groups throughout the school year and promoting events in and around the Lounge. Feel free to say 'Hellloooooo!'
- Art and Skating
- On thursday nights you will be able to come to Lounge and do something arty! Whether you are into painting, charcoal and pencil....there's a technique for you! Feel free to also use this time (if you are taking Standard Grade or Higher Art) to come and practice somewhere in peace and quiet.
For those who aren't into art but love skating, we will be running outdoor skate park trips every second thursday from August 09 at 7pm till 9pm. Look out for the first night in the Lounge window. - Contact us...
