Report on the youth forum sponsored walk held 15th July.
There was 3 of us dedicated youth forum members along with Nige who walked the 9.5 miles around the Louth area staring and finishing in Hubbards Hills on the 15th July. It took us just under 4 hours with only 3 stops along the way. Even though there wasn’t very many of us we had fun, talked about anything and everything and didn’t get wet! So all in all it was a good day and we all felt like we could have walked more! Also by doing it we raised around £100 for the youth forum.

This last youth forum day was held at Riseholme College on the 8th July 2008. It was a huge success with everyone meeting new people as there was a great turn out with new faces. The day started off with ice-breaker games such as one lie and two truths, then followed by discussions on the little lincs link, future events, the Wales trip, the campout and development and funding. After everyone had finished discussing these topics the group was rather hungry and we enjoyed a pizza picnic outside by the lake. Later on we had a jam-packed afternoon were we played a game of rounder’s (which was not called off due to bad light), after we played a game of hide-and-seek, which was followed by a lazy afternoon relaxing and playing more games, for example the lemonade game, malteser pick up and manhunt! This day was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and if you haven’t made it to a youth forum day, then why not?

On Sunday 15th April the junior members of the county were invited to Grantham YFC to have a go on their climbing wall. Quite a lot of people turned up, though most were from Grantham anyway, but it was a reasonable turn out. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all, even Alice Smithson who seemed to spend a lot of time clutching to the wall at about 2 feet up, screaming. As well as the climbing wall we played badminton, (or attempted to play badminton), had some very violent games of air hockey, and had a go with those weird pattern bead things that you iron (whatever they’re called). It’s just a pity that there weren’t many people that didn’t go to Grantham or Market Rasen, because you’re all missing out. So it was yet another reason for anybody who hasn’t decided to come to the Youth Forum yet to do so.
