- We work in Knock Shrine and are essentially the youth ministry team!
Schools come from all over Ireland for the school retreat experience we provide.
We try to help students get in touch with themselves and get tuned into what God wants for them.
We do this in a fun, relaxed environment.

Helen- Who is 23, has a degree on Theology and experience in youth ministry and retreat facilitation.
I always knew this was what i wanted to do after receiving a powerful experience at a retreat i attended in Secondary school. I knew that i wanted to get into some sort of Ministry and spread the Word of God.
Nicola- Who is 25, Nic also has a degree in Theology and her Higher Diploma in teaching. She was between teaching and youth ministry, and thank God she saw the light and became a youth minister instead!!
We are also helped out with loads of people from the Shrine.
Grace, Mary, Melissa and Brigette who give the tour of the Museum. We have Ann-maire, Mary, Ann, Bernie who give the tours.
We also get help from some of the priests like Fr. Dan, Fr. Nigel and Fr. Richard. - Retreats....
- We take bookings for retreats throughout the year, u can ask your teacher, priest, chaplain or you yourself can give us a shout at Our Lady's Shrine, Knock. Ph: 09493 88100

Remembrance
With a touching insistence, the month of November reminds us of those who have left this world. Their voices do not sound in our ears as we once heard them, but memories of them speak to our hearts.
As it is November we have created a remembrance tree. Everyone that comes hangs a leaf on the tree with all the names of loved ones they have lost. We will then pray for these people everyday. If you have lost a loved one please send their names to us in private mail and we will add them to the remembrance tree and we will pray for them everyday.
The Final Flight
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the end of the day.

Thoughts for Mid-Term
We have made it half way through another term (We can hardly believe it!). It is a good time to stop and take a break. It is a good time to think about where we’ve been and what we’ve done, where we are and what we are doing, where we are going and what we will do……
Where do I sense hope, encouragement, and growth areas in my life?
By looking back over the last few months, I may be able to see which activities and occasions have produced rich fruit.
If I do notice such areas, I will determine to give those areas both time and space in the future.
Help me Lord to be more conscious of your presence. Teach me to recognise your presence in others. Fill my heart with gratitude for the times Your love has been shown to me through the care of others.

Just a whisper
Temptations to stray off the path of Jesus are always part of life. We find ourselves challenged in all sorts of areas of life like wealth, success, comfort, justice. The humble person knows that we can fall often, but that the real follower of Jesus is the one who can rise from a fall, and do the best in the future.
At this moment Lord I turn my thoughts to You. I will leave aside my chores and preoccupations.
I will take rest and refreshment in your presence Lord.
At any time of the day or night we can call on Jesus.
He is always waiting, listening for our call.
What a wonderful blessing.
No phone needed, no e-mails, just a whisper.

- Going to Mass every Sunday
- Taking 20 minutes out of each day to talk to God (maybe 10 in the morning 10 in the evening)
- Reading a passage out of the bible once a day or once a week and seeing what God has to say to you
- Trying extra hard to acting like a true Christian, showing more love at home or in school
- Bringing your troubles to God and asking for his help his forgiveness maybe.

yhes i had a wonderful day in knock with ye. . and i really believed in what ye were telling us and what it was all about. . and the healing service (sitting infront of jesus) . . i just that was soo special and i really felt something about it. . so thank you guyz for a great day out and please god we'll meet again.

Hey guys,
Had a wonderful Easter this year. Our Easter services were beautiful especially the Holy Thursday one - that was out of this world! Very moving Really strong presence of our Lord that night.
Did you all have a good one too?
Am really looking forward to Knock this year!

Pat McCabe36 weeks agonuttin.....I think its more about doing a bit extra rather than giving up something. So I'm trying to be more generous to people, trying to be kinder, more attentive to peoples needs...hmm maybe I'm trying to give up my negative side. It should be said however that trying to be good is hard work and I need the odd glass of vino or two or three or more of an evening to unwind. So don't anyone suggest I abstain for lent lol. Keep up the good work
