I don't think the tickets will be available to buy on the Friday but there is no harm asking on the Friday.

Ask on the Friday about the con pack as its slightly different this year as the people who already have tickets all get a con pack on the Saturday so having to check to make sure they haven't got one yet would slow the queue, defeating the purpose of having the ticket in advance.
