Prayer For The Canonisation Of Pope John Paul II
O Blessed Trinity We thank You for having graced the Church with Pope John Paul II and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care, the glory of the cross of Christ, and the splendor of the Holy Spirit, to shine through him. Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy and in the maternal intercession of Mary, he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd, and has shown us that holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you. Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will, the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon be numbered among your saints. Amen.

JOHN PAUL II INTERCEDE FOR US!
Our Mission Statement
Guided by the Holy Spirit, the Mission of our Group is to pray for the Canonisation of the Late Great Pope, John Paul II. Trusting fully in the infinite mercy of God and in the maternal intercession of Mary, Mother of God, we endeavour to promote the teachings of John Paul II and the teachings of the Catholic Church. We aim to pray for our Holy Father, Benedict XVI and the needs of our Church. Working cooperatively with the Archbishop of Armagh and the Priests, Religious and Laity of our Diocese we strive to spread the Gospel and make Christ known and loved. ‘Do not be afraid – open wide the doors to Christ!’

    • Armagh Diocesan Cursillo launches Eucharistic Congress Prayer Initiative

The Armagh Diocesan Cursillo Movement has just launched a new initiative in preparation for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress to be held in Dublin in 2012.

A special Chalice and booklets were blessed by Fr Seamus White on Friday evening during our highly successful 'Friendship Night' for all those who had attended the recent Weekends.

The Chalice which will help us focus our prayers in preparation for the Congress, will visit the different Groups within Cursillo for the duration of an appointed month. During that month the group will pray for the success of the Congress and discuss ways in which Cursillo can prepare for and celebrate the Eucharistic Congress in 2012.

The first Group will recieve the Chalice and booklets at the next Ultreya on Friday 30th October at 8.00pm in the Marist Crypt, St Mary's Road, Dundalk.

The poor Corcorans are at their wits` end, I ask all to remember them in your prayers and that this will be the final appeal process that they will have to go through. Go Raibh maith agat.

Just a request for an extra prayer for the Corcoran family in Dundalk, that Justice will prevail and that the jury will see through all the lies that have been spun by the defence during the trial. Hopefully the good Lord and Kelly-Ann will enlighten the jury and help them reach a successful conclusion.

on this the 3rd anniversary of John Paul the second`s death, may we continue to pray for and to him, so our requests may be granted and may he heal and comfort those who are in pain and those who are deceased may he raise them up on the last day with him, when he is counted among the congregation of saints. Amen.

Sadly missed, a man for our times, John Paul 2 RIP.
