- Revolutionaries...dreaming once again...
- Me, Myself, and I
- So I graduated from Queen's in December with a Masters in Modern Irish History. I guess I'm hoping that, if nothing else, my knowledge of mid-nineteenth century eschatology will prove to be an interesting conversation piece at dinner parties...
I'm currently working in a college library.
In other news, a teenager recently told me that I'm "a little bit cool." It's better than nothing I guess

- My Faith
- On my knees ... Dim lighted room. Thoughts free flow try to consume myself in this. I'm not faithless ... Just paranoid of getting lost or that I might lose ... And I'm praying that we will see something there in between then and there that exceeds all we can dream. Through all these twisted thoughts I see ... Jesus, there in between.
- Films
- Along with Cult Sci-Fi movies like Star Wars, Resident Evil, Blade, Stargate, Underworld etc, I'm a big fan of cheesey 80's and 90's macho films; Street Fighter, Rambo, Under Seige and Time Cop to name but a few. Also love epic war movies like The Great Escape, Force 10 from Navarone and A Bridge too far. All time favourite movies include the recent silver screen adaption of Frank Millers '300'... simply awesome, a fantastic mystery drama come thriller called The Prestige with Chrisian Bale and Hugh Jackman and the enchanting silver screen adaption of the 1977 novel; Bridge to Terabithia.
- Books
- The Bible; the living word of God. I truely don't know where I'd be without the encouragement God brings me through it at the wierdest times! Pete Greigs 'Red Moon Rising', 'The Return of the King' by Tolkien and "Magician" by Feist. I'm a fan of poetry including work by Robert Frost, John Donne and Wilfred Owen. I'm also big into my Marvel graphic novels.
- Music
- Mosaic podcasts, All American Rejects, New Found Glory, Angels and Airwaves, Nightwish, Era, Avril Lavigne, Paramore, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Alter Bridge, Relient K, My Chemical Romance, Rise Against, Fall Out Boy, Creed, Funeral For a Friend, Mandy Moore, Kate Voegele, Sarah McLachlan, Ana Johnsson, Lisa Miskovsky, Ane Brun, Kate Rusby, Breaking Benjamin, Dragonforce, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Bee Gees, Billy Joel, Europe, Heart, The Cranberries, Survivor, Van Halen, Seth lakeman, Neil Diamond, Amy MacDonald, Josh Radin, Regina Spektor, The Decemberists, Collin Hay, Krystal Meyer, Kutless, Casting Crowns, James Gallway, Era, Enya and Ludovico Einaudi. All time favourite artist has to be Bruce Springsteen. Favourite band has to be Journey.

In Omnia Paratus...
In Omnia Paratus…
The idea of God is under fire. We are all just deluded wishful thinkers who invent a God because we are scared of dying and want to imagine life after death… Atheists are on the march…
That threat means nothing to us. If you throw us in the fire, the God we serve can rescue us from your roaring furnace and anything else you might cook up....
I tell you… If any nation comes to fight us, it is not because He sent them. Whoever attacks us will go down in defeat. He has created the blacksmith who fans the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And He has created the armies that destroy. But in that coming day no weapon turned against us will succeed. We will silence every voice raised up to accuse us….
It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die…
The God we serve can rescue us. But even if he doesn't, it wouldn't make a bit of difference…
It is an ideal for which I am prepared to die…
In Omnia Paratus…
Was I with Him when He died? No. There are questions I can’t answer and I’m not going to lie to you. You don’t need all the answers, just the essence… The essence? He died to save my life… He died to save our lives… A sacred duty for which He was prepared…
Prepared...
In Omnia Paratus… In all things prepared…

Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum...
Si vis pacem, para bellum...
Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our own life. The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us. If we can stand up to him the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age...
We are human, but we don’t wage war with human plans and methods. We use God’s mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the Devil’s strongholds...
Si vis pacem, para bellum. Latin. The boot-camp sergeant made us recite it like a prayer. Si vis pacem, para bellum. Si vis pacem, para bellum. If you want peace, prepare for war...0 Comments 441 days

Dave Ritchie33 weeks agoCurrently playing an oriental campaign with a river spirit folk shujenja, which for some reason i dual classed with 2 levels of rogue for all the skills it unlocks..kinda pointless as it has left me 2 levels behind on my main class, however currently the only prestige class i can see is the void disciple, which i can take at level 12 and then my shujenja spells unlock normally with each level in void, but i dont like set paths and have to take a wee looksie to see if there is anything else to choose from...but then it all depends on if we start the newly planned medievil campaign soon to give my dwarven fighter some exp!

Ian Montgomery 1 ReplyYes. Geekiest thing I've ever done. Sigh.
This is me banging out some hard metal riffs with my new guitar.
Ian Montgomery 3 ReplysAltogether now...
Just like the pied piper
Led rats through the streets
We dance like marionettes,
Swaying to the symphony...
