The Burning Man festival occurs every year, at the Black Rock desert, Nevada, beginning on the last Monday in August and lasting for 7 days.
Attracting people from all across the globe, Burning Man has grown from its small beginnings on a beach in San Francisco in the 1980's, to a city of 40,000 plus citizens, which rises and falls each August and September, leaving behind no trace of its short existence.
Every year hundreds of Irish make the pilgrimage to Black Rock City. We are trying to provide a means for this large community to keep in touch with one another, so we can bring a part the of Burning Man experience into our lives away from the Play - Websites

So whos going Nowhere!?
Hey Everyone,
Things are starting to build towards this years Nowhere. Personally, I'm starting to make travel arrangements, and talking with people about camps, projects, volunteering and the like.
I'm just wondering how many others are planning on hitting Nowhere this year!? There were a fair few Irishburners at the event last year, any of you heading back, or is that just a silly question!?
For those on here who aren't familiar with Nowhere, well its the European regional Burning Man event, which has been taking place in Spain, just east of Zaragoza, around the first week in July, and is now in its 6th (!?) year, I believe. And with every year it grows, more people, more camps, more art, more parties, more amazingness, and this year already looks like continuing that trend. This year our camp, previously known as the Nowhere Ninja Academy, and the Nowhere Saloon, are planning a bigger sound system, more booze, and harder parties, we focus on fun and let others look after the art/spirituality/relaxation etc.
I'd highly recommend you guys check out the flashy new Nowhere website www.goingnowhere.org where they have all the info you may need on the event, and you can purchase tickets. They even have a wiki and forums on there where you can post shit and ask questions etc.
I honestly don't know how if its possible to fit more fun into 5 days. Check it out!

Paddycon 2009 - The Leprechauns are coming AGAIN! - Are you?!
Leprechaun sightings have been increasing in recent years due to habitat loss.
The unprecedented encroachment of humanity and the digging up of their burrows due to the expansion of the road infrastructure has led to more and more urbanisation.
Now, they're starting to organise.
Once again they will emerge from their hidden locations all over the country to gather in the Capital city, to celebrate and spread their crazy mayhem and harmless havoc. Yes, the Leprechauns are coming - are you?
The streets of Dublin will be invaded by the Little Green Men (and Women) SATURDAY MARCH 7th. Paddarchy™ will undoubtedly ensue and so the gathering cannot stay in one place for long!
They will have a secret route, to be announced close to the event.
The Green Invasion needs you!
* SEE the stunned expression on the faces of an unsuspecting public!
* HEAR the alternating screams of excitement and confusion!
* TASTE the booze!
* FEEL the Leprechaun Love!
* SMELL the booze!
The Authentic Shamroguery™ of Paddycon happens SATURDAY the 7th of MARCH, 2009.
To be a part of the Paddycon shenanigans, join the email list. Send an email NOW to:
paddycon-subscribe@googlegroups.com
You'll be able to talk to your fellow shillelagh-wielding leprechauns, and get all the nitty-gritty details (who/what/when/where/how) of this fun and rousing event.
Oh and don't forget the potatoes - and the after party in a top secret location.
Then, mark your calendar for SATURDAY MARCH 7th. Dublin will never be the same again.
See you on the Paddycon list!

Lenux34 weeks agoHere's a little present for you. It's a shorty collection of deep tracks I've been listening to of late featuring Barem, Marco Carola, Kenny Larkin, Solomun, Bruno Pronsato, etc. The focus was on a deeper sound pitched around 122bpm crossing over some deep house with dark minimal and tech grooves to good affect.
Enjoy
