• Really now....

  There are things about people I shall never understand.
  Specifically, people when they are mad for whatever reason.
  
  See I tried to be as nice about it actually, but ending communication with someone always serves up random results. No matter your approach you can never be too sure of what you will get in response.
  
  This is often when a person's true character comes out; their true personality.
  
  How a person deals with their anger is very telling of their caliber in my opinion. Those that take the high road and just get on with their life without any fuss are obviously strong and respectable people. They can take a disappointment and just pass through it. After all life is short and far too short to expend energy on making another person unhappy or miserable.
  
  Then there are those that grab onto this as an opportunity to be nasty, even when it is unnecessary! This sort, is the most astounding kind in my opinion. It is like they must lash out. They must try their very best to insult another. I find this low. I try to keep these sorts of people out of my life and had been doing good until one such person showed their true colours.
  
  What does a person have to gain by spouting off unfounded nastiness at another person? Is it some sick satisfaction of saying the meanest, rudest or nastiness thing that they can possibly say to another? Is it that they lack the skills to properly express themselves? What is it?
  
  What of one that has called themself a friend? Is this not the lowest possible behaviour that one can imagine? To have a self professed friend throwing baseless accusations, insults and outright lies at you. To spit this venom in your face, then have the balls to then turn around and attack YOUR character? Pfft Seriously now! I can not fathom this or the motivation behind this sort of behaviour.
  
  I myself have never done such a thing to a person I call friend. In fact, I don't so this to those that I don't call friend either. It is negative, it is fruitless, it is an utter waste of energy that can be better spent on other endeavours. True, maybe this little airing here is wasted energy of sort but I want to share this. This thought.
  
  To me words are really words after all. In the end it is up to me whether I allow them to hurt my feelings, hurt me or upset me. I chose not to allow the words any power and the person saying/typing them as well.
  
  My mother always told me that a person is ultimately responsible for their own feelings. Them and them alone! When you allow another to offend, insult, hurt or *whatnot* then you are giving that person the power to control your emotions. She advised that it is simply not worth giving up your power of emotions to someone that isn't worth it. Someone who seeks to hurt you....
