- Without saying a word the music of HACKNEYED tells enough already – modern death metal with its very own flavour that shows the technical abilities as well as the tribute they pay to the legends of the genre. The sound of the band will not only appeal to death metal heads but also fascinate the whole extreme metal scene. Hilarious drumming with machine gun like snare attacks that will put a smile on the face of every fan of grindcore as well as perfect groove bombs that unerringly hit the listeners knees. In addition to this the band offers impressively skilled brutal guitar dual power and a shouter that convinces vocalwise as well as on stage.
Even if „Death Prevails“ marks the bands debut release, they’re already far from what is called verse-chrosus-verse caboodle. Also the band crops up on stage so smoothly like they never did anything else more before than rocking the crap out of their crowd while hitting the stage real hard.

HACKNEYED - finish recordings, unveil cover, tracklist & new promo pic!
Germanys death metal lunatics # 1 have finished the recordings for their highly anticipated new album "Burn After Reaping" due on August 14th via Nuclear Blast!
Commented drummer Tim Cox "After long and hard work, we just finished the studio work for "Burn After Reaping" and I can assure you, that the songs will kick major ass!! It will be louder and more brutal than anything you’ve heard before! Our producer Corni Bartels pushed us to the limit and made the album what it is right now – a fucking killer! We have done a lot of crazy things and tried a lot to pimp the album. "Burn After Reaping" will differ from "Death Prevails" if it comes to songwriting and sound, but of course all known HACKNEYED trademarks have been kept. Björn Goosses of KILLUSTRATIONS (DEW-SCENTED, ABORTED etc…) created the artwork which matches our expectations perfectly. It fits the album like every single song!"
