- Predominantly influenced to initiate a music hobby as a 2 piece act, Mako & Wee'D had originally been members of Glasgow based group Triplecuttt but after much thought they had left the group in order to compose their first project under the new alias of G.L.A (GangLand Authentic)which is a reference to the current social status of inner city Scotland. Since the change the group have released four mixtapes entitled: 'You Know What This Is' 'Beyond Wordz' 'Drunk n Disorderly' and 'Nostalgia'. Wee'D has also released a solo mixtape entitled 'Behind Closed Doors'. G.L.A are currently working on their debut EP with all production, mixing and engineering being constructed by their live DJ; Jolly Joker, you can check out his music at:

King Of the Bands
First off I would just like to thank each and everyone who came to all the gigs, we wouldnt have passed the first heat without yous.
With that said i would like to add that for us (G.L.A) its been a strange and suprising few months,first off i think we suprised everyone including ourselves by getting to the finals and being the second hip hop outfit ever to do it, but also with all the cancellations, procrasination and junkies floating about we still managed to sell a total of like 100 tickets (and they fannies only thought we sold 60 mwaha!). But i dont think anyone was more suprised than us when we witnessed how much alchohol cade could consume within 5 hours ( they can now afford to put the palace on hydrolics),with his sheer intent to get drunk before even approaching the stage i was sure that hed progressively overdosed on tennants and for taht we deserved much more than the grand prize...we deserved the palace.
On a serious note though i believed that on teh night of the final...with EVERYONE cheering your name (including those who had came to see the overall winners) onstage there was no bigger buzz than that, i thought that we deserved it, they thought that we deserved it but i guess it is what it is. I just couldnt be more happy wid what we dun, Geo, Mako, X we killed it laddds
