We need your help!hace 241 días

Calling all fundraisers! Columba 1400 needs your help to raise funds so that we can continue our work with young people just like you.

"I'd love to help, but I have no money to give!" I hear you say. Hey, we're all feeling the pinch right now. But there is something you can do to support Columba - you can start a fundraising drive through Just Giving.

It's easy. First, you pick a goal. You could enter in a Fun Run or a Fun Walk. You could decide to shave your head. Whatever challenge you pick for yourself, you can fundraise for.

Then, you sign up to JustGiving - click here: http://www.justgiving.com/columba140... - then click on "create your page."

Follow the instructions there, then send your page link to EVERYONE you know, asking them to sponsor you! A pound here, a pound there (or £10!) all of it makes a big difference to Columba 1400, if everyone pitches in.

If you have any problems or questions, feel free to contact me (Charlotte) on 0131 557 9320 or send me a message through Bebo.

Happy fund raising!

Welcome back Graduates!hace 503 días

Welcome to everyone who's back at Columba this week for the official opening of the James Moffat Hall, and welcome as well to all the graduates who are just discovering this Bebo page. As Stevie said to me today, there's an abundance of real treasure here, in the conversations that people are having, and the vibe of the folk who are up here on July 21st and 22nd for this very special gathering.

Supporters and graduates and Columban staff and funders alike, there's a real sense of community here which is creating such a charge in the air. Exciting times.

Richard Bailey, the self appointed Columban Helicopter Pilot, has generously given four lucky columbans (names drawn out of a hat!) the opportunity to go up in his helicopter for a bird's eye view of Staffin and the Centre. What incredible supporters we have here!

And tomorrow - well! Tomorrow our patron, Princess Anne will be coming to pay a visit to the centre, and to officially open the Moffat Hall - the incredibly beautiful new extension to the Centre in Staffin which has already made such a change to what is possible during our programmes.

So welcome back one and all! Welcome back to the centre to those who are here, and welcome to our Bebo page, to those who are/were unable to join us! We are all so proud to call you family.

Charlotte xx
