Ok, so who else is choked with a cold? Not me, but poor Jamie is down with it - again!

Seanieboi - how's that foot of yours? Stopped kicking the cat yet?

Regan - I been trying to add you as a friend but you need to accept the invite

Won't see you all tonite, but looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

One more thing - February is almost over.... then it's March.... and Spring!!!!! Whoo-hoo! Bye, bye freezing mornings!

A husband was trying to prove to his wife that women talk more than men. He showed her a study which indicated that men use about 10,000 words per day, whereas women use 20,000 words per day.

His wife thought about this for a while. She then told her husband that women use twice as many words as men because they have to repeat everything they say.

Her husband looked stunned. He said "What?"

WIFE: "There's trouble with the car. It has water in the carburetor."

HUSBAND: "Water in the carburetor? That's ridiculous."

WIFE: "I tell you the car has water in the carburetor."

HUSBAND: "You don't even know what a carburetor is. I'll check it out. Where's the car?"

WIFE: "In the pool."

Just a quick reminder that from this Sunday we will having "Christmas" themed evenings and there will be several things going on, you can choose to do anything out of the following:

Study in the Sitting Room
Krafts in the Kafe OR
Games in the Games Room

This will be the format for the next three weeks, then on the 21st of December it will be different again. (More details to follow closer to the time!)

Great message on Sunday but I have a question.

I agree totally that to love God with all our mind is a learning thing, which grows over time as He reveals the truth of His Word to us, and yes, we can make mistakes in our understanding along that learning road. I also agree that the only way to begin loving the Lord with all our mind is to read and understand the Bible. The comment was made about how many people we know in our town who really love the Lord with all their mind, and how many really know what the Bible says, or read it on a regular basis.

Adding up some facts from this series of sermons, loving God with all our heart and soul is a result of a constant and ongoing relationship with Him, and loving Him with all our mind is the result of ongoing study of His Word, which is, indeed the first step in getting to know Him in a personal relationship.

Here is my question, based on Romans chapter 10 (how can they believe if they have not heard...), how do we practically get the Bible into the hands of people locally, and, encourage them to try reading it?

Suggestions, anyone?
