| They came far and wide for the race. Wide open they were. Feral had an average turnout, just shrimpy, dollars and renski. Pono, Ram-hole, and others were either bike-less or pulling a "faz". Track was quiet rough, bit pedally in places, but heaps of corners which were sick, oh yea and dusty as balls. Results not out yet, but all riders on form today. Shrimpy was 'loose' but all over the dust like a shrimpy over plankton. Renski had a few moments in practise, but showed blistering (like his skin in the sun) pace for only having ridden a dh bike a couple times in the last year. He is def. one to watch for the nats. Faz had a great day at the office, covering fluid dynamic modelling and blah blah blah pussy! Up and coming Ferals pinners were dominating in the grommy classes, Rupert, Tom, Freddie and the rest all showing mongoose pace. sickness | ||||

| Anyone have any thoughts for the New track weve just put in Vic park? "How about NO?" seems to be the winner at the moment closly followed by "block OFF!" Ironicly both seem to honour the biggest waste of $45 since that crappy frissbee "Addiction" | ||||

| Last weekend the first training day took place where three feral racing riders took out some wee grommies for a hoon on the hill. Another feral team rider stole the show at the end of the day placing third in the make-shift slalom event that was held. 'Renski' (not from Russia) riding aboard the now infamous Treky, dominated the top section of the track, hanging it out but keeping it pointed down the hill. Rumors have it that the one brake on the bike wasn't working, so big ups to ren for staying rubber side down. I've been in contact with the mechanical engineering student, and he is seriously thinking about kitting treky out with some fox 40's and giving her a cain on the nationals circuit. Being a pro rider now, he should be relatively competitive abourd the sub 30 pound machine. Congratulations to Ren for the latest and probably most difficult podium for Feral racing. | So feral racing didn't roll in their usual way last weekend and had what could be described as a mare. (night - mare) Crashes for dooner in both race runs, farry potter in his first race run, and general nana behaviour from the rest of the crew (pono and joe pro) meant no podiums.... very dissapointing. However the yeti himself (farry) has moved up the ranks in the team, holding the third spot, now ahead of joe-pro after his terrible form in Nelson. The reason was valid to an extent, having been on the booze in Wanaka for ten nights in a row but lets face it, priorities need to be addressed. Renski was absent once again, and rumours suggest that his race pace will be going off like a bottle of milk in the sun. I can however put these rumors to rest as he was absolute lightning at the pump track last night aboard a clapped out xc bike. Speaking of the pump track, wow. What an effort the cum-bucket guys have done to produce such a flowy, open, fast and smooth pump track. Truely showing the class that is cum - bucket. Anyway, results Dooner (off weekend, crashing and general sissy riding) Farry Potter (ragged but improving) Joe-Pro (hung-over and well off usual pace) Pono (didn't do the jump) Improvement is needed.
