| Hey UniQers!! Ok so I'd like to organise a planning meeting for this Thursday 6pm till 7.30pm.. To be held at the Rainbow Youth Centre. *Planning for Sem2 I'm organising an event for the 7th August, which is the second Thursday of Semester (correct me if I'm wrong).. =P I'd definitely like to see more stuff organised for semester 2.. And it doesn't have to been full on stuff.. Just simple things like pamphlet drops, poster pin-ups, workshops, social outings to various venues/events, excusions to sexual health clinics etc.. Also, UniQ Massey Albany is starting up so it'd be great to tie something in with them.. Perhaps a picnic on the Shore? If you can't make the Thursday, email me through some ideas you'd like to get involved in or take the charge on.. *OUT@AUT AUT have a support service/group for queer students there called OUT@AUT.. They have weekly Drop-In, Fridays 12 to 1, LGBT Info Lounge, WJ301 I'd like for us to get pro-active with them and/or co-ordinating special commemorative events like Blue Jeans Monday or Black Thursday.. *Other Orgs As well as meeting up with community organisations and planning bigger things.. Like meeting with the HERO committee to plan what we're doing for the Hero Festival in February next year.. I know it's a long way off but the more time we have to plan, the better.. I've had a few suggestions already which are EXCITING!!! *The Stall @ Re-Orientation Week Also orientation week is next week starting Monday 21st and we're going to have the Stall up.. Just need to confirm with Clubs peoples.. I'm thinking 11am till 3pm.. I'll potentially be able to take an hour off during lunch from work each day.. But I need people to man it.. It's a great way to meet other members and represent the club!! Thanks guys and grrls! | |||

| Well three of us are off to this years UniQ conference down in Dunedin this year.. Myself, Mathijs(Matace) and Russell. (Self funded). | Hi peoples.. Anyone want to help organise our Stop Homophobia campaign? I know it's a big ask, but it's a OUR cause and would be really good promotion for UniQ Auckland.. | I've had feedback over the last few months with regards to post-grad student's feeling left out of the UniQ group as we're all so much younger. Perhaps we can look at having a UniQ post-grad/older students email loop for starters? And or an alternate coffee group for the older members?
