Wow its june already and nearly xmas already, only had 1 race this year so far Money Money Money is theproblem as always and only having an 05 Honda is the other problem, Still thinking a new bike and im winning scottish and top 10 at british but i aint got 50K to blow.

Mmmmm not a clue when il be out again, Maybe Next season but due to a busted collarbone it aint looking good

Yes its been and gone, First Meeting of 2009 for Myself and Stuart Anderson Racing.

If you dont already know im racing again in the Melville Superstock 600cc Class on my 2005 Honda CBR600rr.
Weekend was Simply amazing, weather was realy good apart from saturday morning, Friday Gossip was Amense, Saturday drunken PS2 Action, And seom awesome Racing.

Qualifying
New set of Dunlops were on for the 1st time, at 1st i didnt know what to expect but that soon changed as they were amazing, 1st 3/4laps i paced myself and tried to get some clear track space. Once i saw a gap i went for my 1st fast lap of 2009 on new rubber.
Felt realy good but i could tell i was rusty as my breaking was a bit out and i wasnt accelerating out the corners as hard as what i could.
Done 2 fast laps and i came across about 4/5 slower riders so i made my way through then i went again for 2 quick laps which felt realy good, i knew that 1min 4 would be good enough for front row, so after seing the time sheet i was 2nd with a 1:03.
So yeh i was kind of happy with that as it was the 1st time since October that i got my head down again and pushed it harder than i was during preseason.

Saturday 1st Race
Looking back at the race now, the Start was horrible as i was back in about 5/6 going into 1st corner but as i came out was behind michael robertson and John dean, So i knew i wasnt far away.
Only now id i see how quick these DAMM YAMAHAs are!!!! hahahaha Awell stuck it out and for the next 7laps i stayed in 3rd with no threat from behind, i was catching John Dean hand over Fist since he fell into 2nd, Lap 9 i think it was i was gona make a move but going into hanhas i got caught behind a back marker ( who was in the same tent as john) Conspiracy lol
Was a bit unfortunate but thats racing, So 1st Race since October saw me finish 3rd, so i couldnt complain. But Dang they Yams are quick. Fastest Lap was 1:02:5 which is only 0.700 ssecs off my fastest ever lap, so for my 1st time out i was more than happy when i saw the times.
No More racing Saturday due to a few accidents so it led to an epic sunday with 3races.

Sunday Race 1
Well it was yet again gorgeous weather which was realy good. Same situation as Saturday though. my start was a bit shoddy but got into 3rd place after 1st corner. And yet again i was behind Mick and John, but there bikes are just so quick that i cant get a draft down the straights. I Just got my head down and see if i could catch them or reduce the gap, Fastest lap for me was now down to a 1:02:3 so i was getting quicker but the bike just wont let me go quicker so i had to settle for yet again another comfortable 3rd.

Race 2
Probably the best race of weekend at this point as i was battling or rather watching the battle between john dean and grant thomas which was rather amusing for 3rd place, Yet again Mick got to the front and cleared off, but i was settled in 4th again trying to keep up with the 2 Yamahas AGAIN!!!! by this point im getting fed up looking at the back of the damm things and puling 6/7 bike lengths on me. Last lap left an opening which i jumped at. John dean went wide so i went by to claim 3rd again. Getting good a this finishing 3rd business i think.

Race 3
The best race of the weekend for me as it got a bit exciting as i had to battle for my position this time, So i realy enjoyed this one. Was about 6th i think as i was behind mark wishart,william Bergin,Mick,john dean and grant. YES THEY ARE ALL ON YAMAHAS!!!! (Sad Face)
As everyone knows i love making things hard for myself so i picked mark wishart off early then i got upto William Bergin and passed him going into esses 1 on lap 8 then made my last ditch effort to go after mr dean and Grant but they were at this point to far ahead, Some last lap antics meant that John ran off the track on esses 2, So i wasnt going to say No lol So i got upto 3rd even though i made a bum of the hairpin as i was in 4th gear.
So again i finished 3rd, Not got a tim

The count as of today is 4Days Realy cant wait to get out again.

Well So Far ive been out twice
First of which was the Sunday 15th March at East Fortune. Was a Realy good day as we missed all the rain and it stayed dry all day bit windy though. Well the Bike went well enough to see ive still not lost any speed atleast. No Laptimes unfortunatly or pictures as it was just myself and my dad that went accross.
Was a realy good days testing, im back into the swing of things nearly.

2nd test i had was a 2hour open pitlane at knockhill on Friday the 3rd April. Again we got the good weather and it was dry
As everyone probably knows by know knockhill isnt my favourite track ever so i took my time to get into the swing of things. There was alot of quick guys out so i just behaved for a change and done my own thing, Lap times were 54/55s all night so i was happy with that, only 2nd time ot on bike which isnt 100% competative im happy with the way it went.

So thats now about 3hours of track time ive had before east fortune so for the little track time i must admit im ready to go, My bank balance is taking a hammering but to be honest who isnt feeling the squeeeze.

4 DAYS TO GO Till East fortune so il report back next week of how it went
