I do try to reply to all my comments (excluding requests) but can't always due to the high volume I receive, if I don't reply to you, it's not out of rudeness. Either I'm just very busy or I've missed the comment entirely! I'm a very polite person however I do have a tendency to get impatient with stupidity and general knobbishness, so disrespectful comments will be treated with the contempt they deserve. Apart from that, keep the comments coming, it's nice to get feedback from people who use my skins - I don't mind if you leave me a comment to say that you don't like my skins/work/whatever, we're each entitled to our own opinions, plus my head isn't that far up my own arse to think that everyone will like them

Fare Thee Well :)
As most of you have probably noticed, I've spent less and less time on Bebo lately - mostly because the requests drive me up the wall (especially when you consider how many times I've said 'I don't do requests' all over the profile including apps dedicated to it!) I've spent most of my 'free' time recently enhancing and brushing up my Photoshop skills on works that I like doing and posting them up to my DeviantART page: http://neonescence.deviantart.com/ You can feel free to have a look at my page, comment me on there, comment my works, fave them (slate if you feel the need too lol) or whatever. Some FAQ's Answered What program do I need to make a skin? There are a number of programs you can use to create your skins. I, personally, use Adobe Photoshop but here are a few examples: Adobe Photoshop - You can get a free 30 day trial of this here: http://www.adobe.com/products/photos... Corel Paint Shop Pro - You can get a free trial of this here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multime... GIMP - This is a free program, download it here: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ Microsoft Paint - This is built into your operating system, Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint a very basic program but it's fine for beginners. How do I make the actual skin? Well you need to open new documents in whatever program you've chosen to use - these are the sizes: Nav_BG - 760 x 40 (max size 10kb) Main_BG - 760 x 375 (max size 40kb) Main_Icon - 20 x 20 (max size 1kb) Main_Footer - 11 x 15 (max size 1kb) Module_Header - 375 x 44(max size 10kb) Module_BG - 375 x 50 (max size 10kb) Module_Line - 32 x 3 (max size 1kb) Once you've opened the documents simply add your design onto each part, being careful not to overload it so that it exceeds Bebo's size limit, you can be as creative as you like with sketching, brushes, texts, graphics etc. of course remembering not to breach someone's copyright Brushes? What are Brushes? And where can I get some? Brushes are similar to a rubber stamp in that you get various designs and 'stamp' them on your skin - I make a lot of my own (I won't be going into how to do that right now lol) but you can download brushes from sites like these: www.deviantart.com www.kissmypixels.com www.photoshopsupport.com/tools/brush... Please read the brush creators rules and wishes concerning copyright - if they want you to link back to them for using their brush sets, then do it! I've made my skin but when I try to upload, it says the file is too big, what's wrong? I don't know how other programs work, but with Adobe Photoshop, when saving the file you must choose Save for web - that way you can manually reduce colours or quality to meet the Bebo size limitations. Also if it's too big, you can change it from a JPEG to a GIF or vice versa as this can make a difference! Now that I've uploaded it, my Main_BG is behind the profile writing...how do I get it above? Once you've uploaded the skin, go into Edit Stylesheet, there's a box named 'Top Padding' - the default setting is 5 - Just increase this number, somewhere between 300-375 should do the trick but it will depend on the size of your design, so just keep playing around with the numbers and previewing until it's perfect!
