- In 2007 Daniel Merriweather put his amazing, distinctive, soulful voice to Mark Ronson's 'Stop Me' (cover of The Smith's track), and more recently he co-wrote and featured on Wiley's follow up to 'Wearing My Rolex' - 'Cash In My Pocket'.
Born and bred in Melbourne, Australia, 26 year old Daniel moved to New York a few years back to pursue his dream in music after meeting Mark Ronson in 2001. This was the start of a unique working partnership and great friendship.
Over the past few months, the pair have been working on Daniel's solo album 'Love & War'. The result is a truly amazing record which encompasses all of Daniel’s major influencers - Stevie Wonder, Prince, Jeff Buckley and Herbie Handcock.
The lead single from Daniel’s album, ‘Change', featuring Wale, entered the charts at number 8 in the UK back in February, and his next single 'Red' will be out on 18th May 2009. His album, 'Love & War' will be out on 25th May.

Daniel finished his stint in the UK a few days ago, ending with a fantastic performance with Mark Ronson at Capital FM’s Summer Ball. He then hopped it over to France to start promotion over there, then he’ll be heading to Oz and back on UK shores in August.

Daniel’s confirmed to play at T4 On The Beach on Sunday 19th July. More information can be found here, but tickets are sold out.
