  • Free R.E.S. DJ Sir-Vere MP3 download

    As promised on my twitter, here is the download link for a track called ‘Major Flavour’ by Onehunga’s finest, R.E.S. This track appeared on Major Flavours Australia Vol 2, so most of you reading this from NZ won’t have heard it before. That’s R.E.S. in the pic above, J is on the left, then there’s Ethical from MTC/Space Kids and then Tek, followed by Rimoni and me. This pic was taken at the joint birthday party me and Kirk had in Auckland last year.

    My history with R.E.S. runs deep. I first started working with J-1 on the early Major Flavours New Zealand CDs and actually had him on the tour for Major Favours 3 but he had a freak accident at Fu and got a bad hand injury and couldn’t go (to this day I’m pissed he couldn’t go). As the crew expanded I got them to do some other tracks and Tek’s free on Major Flavours Vol 6 NZ remains my favourite of all time (closely followed by Scribe’s - name checking my kids will get you everywhere).

    So - here is that track by R.E.S., it’s basically about the boys going on tour to Aussie with Major Flavours (which never happened, but they did go to the Homebake festival with their BWW fams). Download link below, enjoy… ’till I bleed out my lungs…’
